After listening to Sora's analysis, Yahiko was completely confused.
"Is it... is it wrong for us to strive for peace in the shinobi world? Is it impossible for this world to ever know peace?"
Sora looked at the dejected Yahiko and said, "There's nothing wrong with your commitment to peace. The mistake lies in your timing. During peacetime, your approach would be correct."
His voice hardened. "But this is a time of war. When your peaceful rhetoric threatens the interests of those in power, then you become the problem."
Yahiko frowned. "But isn't that a contradiction? In peacetime, our organization wouldn't be needed at all."
Sora sighed. "Yahiko, it's rare to find someone as innocent as you in this complicated shinobi world. Wars begin because of conflicts, unequal distribution of resources, social injustice, and similar reasons."
He continued, "Once war has begun, it means the contradictions have become irreconcilable and can only be resolved through combat."
Sora's eyes narrowed. "When everything is irreconcilable, do you still believe that wars can be ended by simply talking?"
"If wars could be ended through conversation, how would you account for the losses and the dead?"
"War only ends when one side emerges victorious. Do you understand now?"
Yahiko clenched his fists tightly.
He didn't want to understand.
But his recent experiences told him that Sora was right.
Because of the peace talks he had proposed, the Akatsuki organization had been plunged into a desperate situation.
Yahiko looked at Sora reluctantly. "Isn't there any way to achieve lasting peace?"
Sora shook his head. "No, but what your companions are planning now might bring peace to the shinobi world for a long time."
Yahiko was stunned. "Companions?"
He quickly realized what Sora meant. "You're talking about Nagato and Konan! That's wonderful! I always said Nagato would be our savior."
Yahiko's tense expression relaxed, and a smile spread across his face.
A subtle smirk appeared on Sora's face. "Don't you want to know what method Nagato plans to use?"
Yahiko asked curiously, "What is he planning?"
Sora smiled coldly. "Nagato now believes that in this cursed world, there can never be true peace, and people will never truly understand each other."
"So he plans to collect the tailed beasts, develop new forbidden jutsu, and create weapons of mass destruction. With the power to instantly destroy an entire country, he'll use humanity's fear of pain to suppress war, guiding the world toward peace through suffering."
In reality, Nagato didn't yet have this plan.
This strategy would eventually be suggested to Nagato by Uchiha Obito, and Nagato would embrace it.
But what if Sora told Yahiko about it in advance?
Sora had no intention of letting Yahiko and Nagato reunite.
After hearing this, Yahiko was stunned. "How could this happen... Why would Nagato become so extreme..."
Sora feigned confusion. "Why are you so surprised? To be honest, Nagato's approach to peace is the most likely to succeed. As long as weapons exist, people will fear them. No one would dare act rashly. An honest peace could be achieved under Nagato's rule."
Yahiko shook his head vigorously. "No, no, no, that kind of peace isn't real peace."
Sora raised an eyebrow. "Then what kind of peace do you want?"
Yahiko replied earnestly, "The peace I imagine is one where people understand each other."
Sora replied sarcastically, "I was really fooled by that guy Jiraiya. That kind of peace cannot exist. You say the peace you imagine comes from mutual understanding, so why do you always try to hit me with your fist?"
He stepped closer. "If we truly understand each other, why don't you understand me? If you haven't practiced what you preach, why should you ask others to do it?"
"I..."
Yahiko wanted to argue but couldn't find the words.
Sora walked up to Yahiko and looked him in the eyes. "Yahiko, your so-called peace is simply impossible to achieve. And I'll tell you something—if Nagato wasn't being used, I wouldn't have saved you. Nagato's approach to peace is the most realistic, and your presence would only interfere with his path..."
Yahiko asked anxiously, "Used? You said Nagato is being used? What's going on?!"
Sora countered, "Where do you think Nagato's Rinnegan came from?"
Yahiko immediately replied, "It's natural, of course."
Sora sneered. "Natural? Then Nagato should be a member of the Uchiha clan."
Yahiko looked puzzled. "What do you mean? How could Nagato be from the Uchiha clan!"
Sora activated his Mangekyō Sharingan. "Because the Rinnegan is the final form of the Uchiha clan's Sharingan."
Yahiko was shocked. "Sharingan's final form... Is Nagato really an Uchiha?"
The corner of Sora's mouth twitched. He now firmly believed the white snake's assessment that Yahiko was foolish.
Sora said impatiently, "All Uchiha have black hair, no other color. Nagato is from the Uzumaki clan."
Yahiko's mind was spinning in confusion. "Uzumaki clan? But... then why does Nagato have the Rinnegan?"
Sora replied bluntly, "Why? Because someone gave it to him, of course. Ever since Nagato obtained the Rinnegan, he has been caught in a conspiracy. If this continues, Nagato will end up dead."
Yahiko's pupils contracted sharply, and he asked eagerly, "Who gave Nagato the Rinnegan? What conspiracy?"
Sora shook his head. "I won't tell you now. If you go find Nagato now, both of you will die immediately. You would interfere with the mastermind's plan, and Nagato would lose his value."
His voice grew cold. "Nagato's value lies in the Rinnegan. If someone can give the Rinnegan to Nagato, they can certainly give it to others to continue their plan."
Yahiko collapsed to the ground, murmuring, "How can this be..."
Suddenly, he stood up and grabbed Sora's shoulders tightly. "You must have a solution, right? When you saved me, you must have wanted me to do something for you. As long as I can save Nagato, I'll do anything!"
Sora looked at Yahiko and smiled. "You're becoming smarter now. Yes, I do have something for you to do, but there's one condition—you must not meet Nagato and Konan before I finish my business. This might take five years, ten years, or maybe forever. Can you accept that?"
Yahiko's hands trembled on Sora's shoulders. He was silent for a long time, as if wrestling with his decision. Finally, he looked directly into Sora's eyes and asked, "Then can you promise me that Nagato and Konan will be safe?"
Sora nodded. "As long as you keep your promise, I'll keep mine."
Yahiko took a deep breath and said firmly, "All right, then I promise you!"
