Following the directions Kael had given him earlier, Rafayel walked through the forest until he spotted a wooden building resembling a log house.
It was a two-story structure, but it looked quite wide horizontally.
Is this Kael's house? he wondered.
Looking at the nameplate by the entrance, he saw the word "Medved" written on it.
So, this had to be the place.
He immediately rang the doorbell, and a butler who looked to be in his 30s appeared from inside.
The moment the man saw Rafayel's face, he froze with a surprised expression and then he quickly asked, "Do you have some business here?"
Confused by the reaction, Rafayel introduced himself.
Upon hearing this, the butler responded,
"…Yes, I've been informed about you. Actually, just about five minutes ago, Young Master Kael was worried that his friends hadn't arrived by the promised time, so he left to go meet you…"
Huh!? But I didn't run into him!
"Is that so?" Rafayel replied. "I didn't see him on the way here at all…"
