" So I am thinking.... Cranberry juice and some sandwiches". Kelsie said excitedly as they walked out of the hotel and into the pavement. Jessica rolled her eyes as a way of exasperation which her best friend caught and asked " what".
"Juice and sandwiches... Again" Jessie asked incredulously then continued " that has been your afternoon break snack and I have had enough of it".
" Fine.... Missy, what do you suggest"
" Missy, Kelsie seriously. What happened to lady or bestie"
" Okay fine, I am sorry bestie...
" That is totally beside the point. I was thinking we could have Apple pie, with some pizza and then we balance it with either milkshake or smoothie and then round it up with tea or maybe coffee..... Now how does that sound "
" Mmmmmm..... Sorry bestie. You can sell me for that palate... Lead the way love, I am starving and that is on period". Kelsie said as she took her bestie arm and swung it.
Jessica just laughed as she saw the hungry look on her bestie's face and then the bossy look with which she said period.
On entering the restaurant, they were shown to their favourite table beside the window that outlooked the pool that looked very exotic when the sun starts to set. Immediately they sat, " Are you sure we can not imbibe in a little swimming time before we head back home". Kelsie asked as someone in the pool did a backstroke. Jessica looked at her bestie then at the pool as she weighed the scale of them finishing up the contract in time for some swimming lessons and then" of course just remind me before I book our tickets for the next day once we finish our mission". Kelsie just smiled in response and Jessica just wanted to nudge her more" Satisfied now little bby.."
Kelsie twisted her face to her bestie and grinned " of course, very satisfied indeed" and they both laughed.
Just then a waiter came to their table with a menu and handed it over to both of them.
" Good evening beautiful ladies... Welcome to our lovely restaurant, I will be your waiter for today .. may I please take your order".
" Good evening, the service here has always been so excellent". Kelsie commented and Jessica nodded her head in appreciation.
" I will make sure your comment gets to both the chef and to the manager. We really appreciate your positive feedback..... Now what would you like to order?.
" Thank you. We would like that. Ehmm we would both like apple pie, pizza and then two of both milkshakes and smoothies. Thank you so much". Jessica said as she placed her order.
" That would be very much fine. I will bring it around soon" and with that the waiter left to get their food.
" They seem so nice here... But it's the view that makes here very homely and lovely". Kelsie said.
" Kels..... Say cheese...". And with that a shutter was heard and Kelsie was captured.
" Oh my gosh.... Jessie. Thank you".
" I did not want you saying you never got to take a picture in the favourite restaurant you like visiting so I decided to surprise you".
"Thank you bestie". And returned the favour to Jess unbeknownst to her as Kelsie had decidedly off the sound to her camera shutter.
They looked so lost in thought that they did not see Richard and Damian come in with their business associates to have dinner.
Damian POV
I smiled as the doorman in duty took my coats and those that accompanied me for a business dinner. I felt her before I saw her. She was glancing at the pool that could been seen from her seat and then a waiter approached their table with the food their had obviously ordered and I watched her come out of her reverie with a big beautiful smile pasted on her face as she welcomed the waiter and nodded to whatever he said then dug into the food with obvious delight etched on her face. I frowned as the waiter walked to another table with a smile on his young handsome face. I looked to her companion and they exchanged smiles and I nudged my best friend. When I could not touch him, I turned and saw him almost frozen in the same spot I was because he was staring at her already with a look of longing on his face and I just shook my head. I nudged him and started walking to my table.... I need to end this lover's tiff so my best friend can have a chance with my ex girlfriend Best friend. It sounds so confusing.....
Richard POV
I saw her as soon as I entered. She looked lost in thought as she stared at the pool she could see. A smile was etched on her face and from time to time she will stare at her best friend and just smile. She saw the approaching waiter and fixed a smile on her face and then nodded at what he had said as she took a bite from the pie and looked like she gave up which elicited a laugh from her companion. I recognized her as Jessica and looked at Damian and found him already staring at her and I just smiled. As he walked to the table, I followed him and did not look their way.
Kels and Jess POV
" And here is your food my dear". The waiter said as he dropped the plate on the table. Their welcoming smiles made him blush . " Enjoy your food dearest...". He said as he tried to attend to another table. Already engrossed in the food.. they gave him a nod and he just smiled.
They started sharing tidbits of each other's food to each other as they laughed and enjoyed themselves. With a little go ahead from the manager.. they made a little video to show Nathaniel and Hayden to say thank you to their sponsors.
On finishing, they ordered for tea and smiled because they know that one of them was supposed to order for coffee but neither wanted that at the moment.
As they say drinking the coffee, Jessica asked for the check. As it was brought forward, she paid . They decided to stay for a while as they sipped their tea slowly and leisurely. Nothing was on their mind, they had dropped everything to have this day out, they neither the peace of not thinking or doing anything for that day. She looked at her clock and realized that the day wasn't over yet and planned a movie for them to watch once they got home. She looked at Kelsie and she smiled, her bestie was having the time of her life.
Fortunately, they finished their tea at the same time and stood up to leave unbeknownst to them, few gentlemen stared at them as they left but if looks could kill, two men stares could have made them drop dead.
