Chapter 162: The Seductive Succubus Queen's Temptation—Hands Off My Man! (4)

A Succubus with no real-life skills surviving in the outside world? Laughable. It must've been pure desperation that brought her back.

But Rong immediately denied it.

"Not at all. I've actually found a new path for the succubus clan."

Her eyes lit up with a spark of excitement.

Eden blinked, genuinely surprised.

She knew Rong had always been an unconventional succubus.

While life in Dreamscape might be monotonous, it was simple and fulfilling for most succubi. Food, drink, and pleasure were never in short supply.

Sure, the reputation wasn't stellar, but outside, weren't most people just hypocrites? They judged outwardly while craving succubi in secret.

But this little one was always trying to carve out some 'new career path'.

With the physical limitations and natural inclinations of their kind, how could success come so easily?

"A new path?" Eden tilted her head, intrigued.

Then she paused mid-thought, leaning in and sniffing the air around Rong.

"My dear, you have the scent of a man on you~!"

Rong: …

How many times did she have to say they weren't mother and daughter?!

Also, what the hell? Was Eden part dog or something? How could she sniff that out?

Rong averted her gaze, her ears tinged with a faint red.

"This isn't important. What's important is that I've found a career suitable for the succubus clan," she said quickly, trying to steer the conversation back on track.

But Eden wasn't listening. She leaned in closer, sniffing again.

"This scent is strong… Such a concentration of male essence…"

Eden's eyes lit up, clearly piecing things together.

It was obvious—there had been intimate contact!

Her gaze at Rong turned joyous, even proud.

'My daughter has finally started seducing men?'

This called for a three-day celebration party, at the very least.

Rong, however, was inwardly cursing, silently turning Eden's face away with her hand.

"I'm trying to talk about serious matters here. Stop getting sidetracked."

"How is this not serious?"

Eden removed Rong's hand and pulled her into a tight embrace.

"Tell me, what kind of man managed to catch my daughter's eye?"

Rong was suddenly enveloped in a warm, soft cushion.

"There is no man!" she quickly denied, her tone firm.

"Queen Eden, can we please stay focused on discussing careers?"

"Don't change the subject! This is important. You've grown up now. Come on, spill it—how far did it go? When are you bringing him home for us to meet?"

"There's no one!"

Rong denied it again, but her guilty expression betrayed her.

In her mind, Shia's image surfaced uncontrollably, bringing an unbidden sweetness to her heart.

Though her words denied it, Eden, with her perceptive gaze, saw through her in an instant.

Rong's growing nervousness didn't escape her sharp eyes.

"Silly girl," Eden said softly, stroking Rong's hair with a touch of sadness in her gaze.

"Did you think I was asking out of curiosity?"

Rong looked at her skeptically.

"No, I'm worried you might have been deceived by a man out there."

A succubus being tricked by a man? That would tarnish the entire clan's reputation!

Rong, however, misunderstood Eden's concern. A flicker of emotion crossed her face as she softened slightly.

Though Eden always insisted on acting like her mother, she genuinely cared.

The wariness in Rong's eyes eased a little.

"Don't worry. I haven't been deceived by anyone," she assured.

A sly glint appeared in Eden's eyes.

"So, if you weren't tricked, does that mean you willingly…?"

Rong's eyes widened in shock, staring at Eden in disbelief. How could she twist it like this?!

She had thought Eden's concern was genuine, but once again, she had been played.

The look Rong gave Eden was nothing short of resentful.

'Why must you torment your child so?'

But she knew better than to continue debating this with the cunning Succubus Queen.

The safest course of action was to shift the topic.

"Your Majesty, I found a new wine outside called Drunken Dreams. It's a newly developed brand with a unique brewing method, completely different from what's currently on the market."

She straightened, her demeanor becoming serious.

"I think it's perfect for Dreamscape and would be ideal for a long-term collaboration."

The mention of business instantly shifted Eden's demeanor. The playful and clingy mother figure was gone, replaced by the composed and regal image of a business tycoon.

Eden released Rong and calmly adjusted her already immaculate sleeves, her expression thoughtful as she processed the information.

"Discussing business? Let me be clear—this queen conducts business professionally. Even if it's a request from my daughter, I won't grant any special treatment~."

Her gaze turned sharp and scrutinizing, devoid of favoritism.

But then, with a quick change in tone, she added, "Of course, if you want to snuggle up to me and beg, I might consider making an exception."

Her eyes glinted mischievously, the teasing smirk returning.

Would Rong give in?

The proud succubus princess shot her a withering look, as if Eden were beneath contempt.

'Hmph, taking advantage of me when I'm down!'

If not for knowing the quality of Shia's Drunken Dreams, she might have fallen for it.

But with his skill, there was no need for her to sacrifice her dignity.

"I brought a sample of Drunken Dreams. You can decide after tasting it," Rong said, retrieving a prepared bottle.

The glass bottle gleamed like jade, holding just a small measure of wine, only about eight-tenths full.

Pouring it out yielded barely half a glass.

As Rong uncorked the bottle, the aroma wafted out. Eden inhaled it, nodding faintly.

The scent was clear and lingering, perfect for setting a mood.

But the moment she sipped it, she immediately understood the meaning behind Drunken Dreams.

Closing her eyes, she savored the taste deeply.

As the alcohol slid down her throat, she felt a fleeting sensation of drunken euphoria, as if transported to a dreamlike state.

When she opened her eyes again, the empty wine glass in her hand held a deeper meaning.
