Chapter 259 - CH: 257 Waking Up And Enjoying

{Chapter: 257 Waking Up And Enjoying}

The screams were earth-shaking, sometimes coming from Ada and sometimes from Alice..

After several hours, William concluded the battle, feeling a sense of unfulfilled desire. In the meantime, Ada and Alice were completely exhausted and had no desire to move and didn't want to move at all...

The door creaked open, and White Queen strode in with her usual confident smile. "Well, well. The pervert finally wakes up. Do you have any idea how long you've been unconscious? Eight whole months!"

William gave her a warm smile. "I'm really sorry for the trouble. It must've been hard on you all."

White Queen blinked, caught off guard by his unusually sincere tone. "What's with the sudden gentleness? It's creeping me out."

William's smirk returned. "Little l*l¡, come here. Let me give your butt a squeeze."

White Queen narrowed her eyes. "Perverted d@ddy."

He raised a brow, amused. "So you are used to this?"

She crossed her arms, her eyes briefly dropping downward. "You might want to cover up your stinky thing, alright? It's ugly."

William chuckled. "Be grateful I'm not charging you a viewing fee."

"To me, your body looks no different than one of those cadavers in a medical dissection room," White Queen said with a hint of disgust.

"Oh? So you do care how it looks?"

"It's ruining my field of vision, that's all. I'm done talking about it," she said, turning away with a huff. "Now tell me what happened. You went to Asgard, didn't you?"

William's expression grew serious as he nodded. "Yeah. A lot happened. Listen closely."

Alice and Ada, who had been resting nearby, stirred at his voice and sat up immediately. Their eyes locked onto him, alert and curious.

William began to recount his story, his tone steady and composed. He described the journey to Asgard, the encounters, the dangers, and finally, how he used the Tesseract to return. His tale held them in silence.

"…And in the end, I used the Tesseract to come back. That's how I ended up here," he finished.

White Queen folded her arms thoughtfully. "So, the transformation pill caused your T cells and metamorphic cells to develop a golden outer layer?"

"Yes," William confirmed. "But the change only affected the cell membrane. The nuclei of my cells remain unchanged."

White Queen nodded. "That makes sense. The pill wasn't a permanent solution—it just forced a temporary harmony between your T cells and the Transformium meta-cells. Once the effects wore off, the incompatibility returned. That's why you collapsed."

"Exactly. At the most critical moment, everything fell apart. I nearly didn't make it back," William muttered, frustration in his voice.

"You're lucky you did," Alice said, her voice tinged with worry. "Don't ever do something so reckless again."

Ada added sternly, "We mean it, William. We almost lost you."

He nodded solemnly. "I promise. No more gambles like that. By the way… where did you find me?"

White Queen's lips curled into a teasing smile. "In the belly of a shark."

William blinked. "I'm sorry—what?"

Ada laughed. "It's true. White Queen detected a space-energy surge above the southernmost waters near South America. We flew there as fast as we could. By the time we arrived, a massive shark had already swallowed you. We killed it and retrieved you."

William looked horrified and amazed all at once. "Seriously? That's insane."

"In a way, you should thank the shark," White Queen said, her tone shifting to serious. "Our aircraft was slow compared to others who might've been monitoring the anomaly. If the shark hadn't swallowed you, someone else might've found you first… and who knows what they would've done."

William frowned. "Did you find the Tesseract? It should have fallen with me."

Ada shook her head. "No. It was gone. We believe someone got there before us and took it."

William's eyes narrowed, but then he relaxed and chuckled. "It's fine. As long as it's still on Earth, I'll find it. Let them hold onto it for now—it'll just make taking it back more fun."

"You're too optimistic sometimes," White Queen said.

He shrugged. "If I wasn't, I'd be a crying mess by now. The Tesseract won't escape me. Eventually, it'll come right back into my hands." He suddenly clenched his fist, determination flashing in his eyes. "So… has it really been eight months?"

"What do you think?" White Queen snapped. "You've been snoring like a pig all this time. If I hadn't intervened, you would've stayed a comatose vegetable forever!"

Before she could finish scolding him, William vanished from the bed with a blur. The next instant, he reappeared behind her and scooped her up with ease.

"I know you've worked hard," he said with a teasing grin. "Come on, give me a kiss. Consider it a reward."

"Put me down, idiot!" White Queen protested, pushing his face away with both hands. "You're hopeless!"

"Too late," he said, and pressed a quick kiss to her cheek.

White Queen squirmed in his arms, flustered. "You really haven't changed at all."

"Nope," William said with a wink. "And I don't plan to."
