Lin Mu frowned. "Why not?, Since my life is on the line, wouldn't it stand to reason that I prepare for the contest."
"She wasn't talking about the contest." Lian said, stepping closer, an annoyed glint in her eyes, clearly she wasn't pleased with Lin Mu's decision. "Didn't it ever occur to you that If you leave the tribe's protection, you're putting yourself at risk. Our father can't protect you out there."
Lin Mu paused on hearing her words, he remained silent for a moment before saying. "I can handle myself."
"You don't understand," Mei added. "The hunting grounds are dangerous, even for our people. And..." She hesitated, glancing at her sister.
Lian crossed her arms, her frustration evident. "And some of the men in the hunting party don't want you to come back alive..." She said with an irritated countenance.
