Gripping his longsword, he stopped his body from being pushed back by the immense force. After fending off the attack, Liens swung his sword, aiming a slash at Adonis's chest.
Adonis retreated, unwilling to trade blows, and was forced to abandon his subsequent pursuit.
Liens propelled himself forward again, charging with a step, and thrust his sword straight at Adonis's retreating figure.
The extreme burst of speed allowed Liens to close in on Adonis rapidly, his longsword flashing like lightning towards Adonis's left chest.
Facing such a fatal attack, Adonis naturally wouldn't let Liens succeed.
"Clang!"
Leveraging his superior strength and speed, Adonis swung his sword and parried Liens's thrust before the longsword could reach him.
But in an instant, the disrupted thrust transformed into a slash, aimed at Adonis's left arm.
