Liens asked Gars.
He knew Gars was a newcomer, of course; after all, just over half a month ago, Gars had claimed to be a famous Adventurer.
The reason he asked, knowing the answer, was merely to set the stage for the next topic.
"Like you, I'm also a newcomer, just arrived a day earlier than you."
"I've already cleaned the dormitory, you just need to tidy up your own bed."
Gars replied with a smile.
"That's really thoughtful… May I take the liberty of asking you something? Of course, if you don't want to answer, just tell me you don't want to say."
Liens said casually to Gars while tidying up his own bed.
"We're roommates now, so as long as it's not a secret, feel free to speak."
Gars answered readily.
"Alright then… Gars, what did you do before? Why did you choose to join the army?"
"I'm just a little curious and want to know if everyone's reason for joining the army is the same as mine?"
