When Aurora reached the base camp of the Phoenix army, it was already morning. The sun was high up in the sky already, and the villagers were already busy preparing for the day. Yet, as the went on with their work, there was a shift in the air, a certain foreboding feeling sweeping everywhere as they awaited the return of their warriors. One of them being Tesarius himself.
He had not slept a wink the whole night, his nerves wouldn't let him rest even for a second as he thought about Aurora heading into battle without his eyes to check on her. It was not that he did not trust her abilities as a warrior, rather the opposite. He was afraid she'd get too carried away in the name of revenge. Good for them they had the element of surprise on their side, so even if Aurora's methods would turn deadly, luck would still be on their side to finish the work of easily. After all, he was told Heronimo's army had been destroyed during the previous battle already. All his supporters were gone.
