The Three-Tails was furious, exerting all its strength yet still unable to break free from the water dragon's restraints. It wanted to gather a Tailed Beast Bomb, but this human seemed to know exactly what it was planning, as its head was already under the control of the water dragon. Even if it managed to form a Tailed Beast Bomb, it wouldn't reach the water dragon or this human.
After struggling for a long time, Yoruha stood on the shell of the Three-Tails, waiting until it was exhausted before speaking, "Three-Tails, how about we have a talk?" Yoruha knew that tailed beasts could speak. The Three-Tails' massive single eye turned to look at Yoruha.
This human before it posed a tremendous threat, reminiscent of the legendary Hashirama. Especially with Yoruha's water dragon, which, although a Water Release technique, bore a striking resemblance to Hashirama's wood dragon. It seemed almost alive, completely under the caster's control.
However, Hashirama had used a wood dragon, and Wood Release naturally had high durability, whereas a water dragon was composed entirely of water and theoretically shouldn't possess much strength. Yet, the Three-Tails felt that the water dragon binding it was no less powerful than the wood dragon of the past. Its strength was incredibly high, and most importantly, it would continuously reform after being shattered.
After struggling for a long time and realizing it couldn't escape, the Three-Tails finally gave up. It spoke to Yoruha in a sullen tone, "Human, what do you want to talk about?" The Three-Tails had little fondness for humans.
Even the Fourth Mizukage, one of the perfect jinchūriki, was not someone it liked. Otherwise, it would have helped the Fourth Mizukage break free from Obito's genjutsu back then. A perfect jinchūriki could rely on the tailed beast within to break genjutsu.
But if the tailed beast inside was unwilling, there was nothing that could be done. Yoruha sat on the Three-Tails' shell, smiling as he looked at it, "I want to make a summoning contract with you." Yoruha didn't waste words, stating his intention directly.
The Three-Tails was stunned, looking at Yoruha in disbelief, "What are you saying?" It couldn't believe that a human would want it to become his summoning beast.
What a joke! Yoruha repeated seriously, "I said, I want to make a summoning contract with you." "Roar~" The Three-Tails was infuriated, shocked that Yoruha dared to repeat such a thing.
In a rage, it roared at Yoruha, the intense sound waves forming a gale. Yet no matter how it struggled, it still couldn't break free from the water dragon's hold.
"Human, you're courting death, daring to make me your summoning beast. I'll kill you." "Roar!" The Three-Tails roared furiously, struggling with all its might, but the water dragon's grip on it didn't loosen in the slightest. Yoruha, however, remained calm, sitting on the shell and watching the Three-Tails' struggles with a detached gaze.
Yoruha hadn't even realized how effortlessly he was now able to suppress or subdue a tailed beast. Even though the Three-Tails wasn't considered the strongest among the nine tailed beasts, it had given Orochimaru a headache, requiring many mysterious powers to subdue. Yet Yoruha had managed to suppress it with just two Water Release techniques.
In fact, Yoruha could have subdued the Three-Tails with just the Water Dragon Bullet Technique. Initially, he had used the Super Water Shock Bomb merely to test the Three-Tails' attack strength.
After the struggle lost its vigor, Yoruha finally continued, "Three-Tails, actually, being my summoning beast has its benefits for you."
"You brat, you think you can make me your slave?" Three-Tails roared in fury.
Yoruha sighed, a bit helpless, and said, "Look at you, how is being my summoning beast the same as being a slave? I just want you to be my comrade in battle. I won't treat you as a slave."
"Roar!" Three-Tails let out another howl.
It simply didn't trust Yoruha. "Human, you just want my power, to seal me inside a detestable human body, robbing me of my freedom."
Yoruha sighed again, "It seems you've had some bad experiences before."
"But please rest assured, I never intended to seal you. I really just want to make a summoning contract with you. I happen to lack a summoning beast to fight alongside me. Why not sign it?" Yoruha looked at Three-Tails with a sincere expression. But Three-Tails was infuriated by Yoruha's attitude.
"You brat, you dare to make me your summoning beast. You just want to use my power. I won't let you succeed."
Yoruha looked troubled, "No, it's just being my summoning beast. I won't seal you. Besides occasionally summoning you to fight together, you'll be free most of the time. And if you're ever in danger, I'll help you. Isn't that good?"
"And I want you as my summoning beast not because I want to use your power, but because I think having you as a summoning beast is pretty cool, that's all."
"Why don't you think about it?" Yoruha's words only served to completely enrage Three-Tails.
"You brat, I'll kill you, damn it, I'll kill you."
"Roar!" The roars echoed one after another, each wave louder than the last. Yoruha's words not only suggested enslavement but, most importantly, belittled it. What did he mean by just thinking it was cool to have it as a summoning beast?
So this guy doesn't even value its power? Yoruha indeed thought this way. With Yoruha's current strength, a summoning beast wouldn't be much help to him.
The reason Yoruha still wanted a summoning beast was simply that he thought having one was pretty cool. Otherwise, he could subdue Three-Tails with just two jutsus. Three-Tails wouldn't enhance his combat ability; instead, it would be a burden. After all, if they encountered a strong enemy, Yoruha would have to divert attention to protect it. Isn't that a burden?
However, no matter how furious Three-Tails was, it couldn't break free from the Water Dragon's restraint. Yoruha just sat quietly on its turtle back, watching it. Only when it was completely exhausted did Yoruha speak again, "Think about it carefully, it really benefits you a lot."
"Do you think with my strength, I really need to use your power?"
"But if you become my summoning beast, you won't have to worry about being sealed again. At least until I die, you'll be free."
"And all you need to do is occasionally be summoned by me to fight. How about it? If I were you, I'd definitely agree. I can guarantee that as long as I'm alive, I'll help you if anyone tries to seal you."
"You should know very well that if you're discovered, there will definitely be ninja villages trying to seal you. After all, no village would pass up the power of a tailed beast."
Three-Tails didn't want to pay any attention to Yoruha. If it weren't exhausted, it would definitely roar at Yoruha now.
The man and the turtle just stayed there quietly. Yoruha kept his eyes on Three-Tails. Three-Tails was so angry it didn't want to look at Yoruha.
For a moment, the atmosphere became incredibly awkward. Yoruha remained very calm, but Three-Tails grew angrier the more it thought about it. Earlier, it was angry because Yoruha wanted to use its power. Now, it was angry because Yoruha actually looked down on it, didn't even value its power.
