Chapter 94 - Chapter 94

It was official now.

The Hundred Years War was finally over, and that was even before the comet happened.

Many of the Fire Nation soldiers had been held as hostages or in prisons, waiting for their nation to demand them back.

As for the many cities of the Earth Kingdom, and even at the North and South Poles, everyone was busy celebrating the end of this war… everyone except for the Air Nomads, who had gone extinct from this world… and Ba Sing Se. Apparently, they believed there was no war in the first place, so they couldn't have the joy of seeing it over.

Everyone had a sour spot when mentioning Ba Sing Se, and how ignorant they were, or how helpless they were during this war.

But the council and the Order of the White Lotus had a very good idea why, and they had been planning to put their attention on that city after the celebrations were over. There was no rush. The war wasn't completely over—not before Sozin's comet passed.

People were talking as usual.

At the celebration, the leaders of the attacks were walking in the streets, and people were cheering for them.

"So, have you heard? There was one leader who apparently managed to take down a whole base on his own, and that happened to be the most dangerous one."

"How absurd is that? Obviously, he had help."

"No. He went on his own and got back on his own. That man can fly. I can tell, and he's a very ruthless one."

"What do you mean? Ruthless or not, it's impossible to have such power without being the Avatar."

"I beg your pardon. The conqueror Chin was able to withstand winds enough to move an island from the continent against Kyoshi. So, yeah, there are some strong people."

"Wait, isn't that just a story told from a child's point of view?"

"Child's point of view or not, I'm wondering where he is now."

"Yes. He's been here for the last week. I wanted to see him, but I didn't get the chance."

"It seems he has left."

"Must be nice to have the power to fly."

"I wish I could."

"So, where do you think he went?"

"I think he went to the Fire Nation. I mean, if he's strong enough to take down a base, convincing the Fire Lord to step aside isn't unreasonable, right?"

Just as everyone was talking, the man in question was in the Fire Nation, floating above the palace.

Ryuk was sitting above the highest point of the Fire Lord's palace, sweat covering his face.

"To think that traveling the ocean and the nation would take all this energy. Man, even leveling up and getting stronger can't spare me the tiredness if the intensity is too much." Ryuk opened a bottle of water and started drinking.

As for why he was here:

He was here to deliver his promise to the Fire Lord.

You either sign an apology letter and pull your remaining forces back, or else we do what Diddy did at his parties.

Of course, that would be a bluff.

Ryuk was straight.

Maybe if the Fire Lord was a girl, he would do it.

"Congrats, Brother Zuko… or should I say, Fire Lord." Azula smiled widely, looking at Zuko, who had just taken the throne as the Fire Lord.

Zuko had a silly smile but then tightened his face and said, "I had thought my father banished me and didn't want anything to do with me. But to think that I'm next in the succession line…"

"I know, right? Father never forgot about you, but he wanted to teach you a lesson. That's all. Too bad you weren't there when he died from the blood pressure." Azula smiled.

Zuko gave a sad nod.

Meanwhile, Azula was sweating on her back.

Usually, she'd be next in the succession line.

But Ryuk had promised to take down the Fire Lord in front of his daughter.

She had considered taking the fall for her nation and her father.

As a princess, she was doomed to fuck someone for the sake of her nation anyway.

But she knew that would freak Ryuk out to see her waiting for him, and he might turn away, like he did with Zhao's wife.

That would humiliate Azula so much and break her self-image.

People would call her a freak—that even the enemy had to turn away.

That's why she got Zuko here.

At least, he had no daughter to get his ass poked in front of, so he might get spared.

And if not, it might be time for him to be useful for his nation.

Maybe then Azula would use it as an excuse to dethrone Zuko.

"Water break is over," I thought as I walked to the edge of the palace and looked down to see around fifty guards standing at the entrance.

"If the Fire Lord had taken my threat seriously, he'd have put more guards. Mere fifty. How much would they amount to? Barely 50k, that if they were benders and had good skills. Maybe less. Hunting monsters is better than that. I have a better idea."

I jumped off the edge—fifty meters—falling behind them.

No one turned or saw me or heard me.

I guess my stealth skill was quite overpowered.

I looked between the guards and grabbed the one with the shiniest armor.

He yelped in surprise.

When he saw my face, his heart stopped beating for two seconds before pounding violently.

"Hey, is this the preparation you had to welcome me? I have to say, that's quite rude." I expressed my frustration.

And to be fair, I wasn't frustrated or sad, just a little disappointed.

"Sir, sorry, we weren't expecting you," he stuttered.

I gave him a few gentle slaps on the face that would only damage his pride.

"Go, and bring more guards. Tell them Daddy Ryuk is here, and he's angry. Meanwhile, I'll keep the beauties here to accompany me." I said.

The remaining guards seemed to notice me, and they had taken their bending stances.

I looked at them, and a portion of them were females.

I guess I had a good idea why the Fire Nation could fight two nations. You see, at the North Pole, waterbender girls didn't fight, and at the Earth Kingdom, you barely see any female fighters.

I let my bloodbending power go wild. The men suddenly got controlled, and their bodies floated, creating a large chair. Some of them were on their hands and knees, acting like a sitting spot, while the others formed the back of the couch I had created.

The females floated against their will to sit there.

I went to the middle of the couch while looking at the horrified expression of the guard I had been talking to.

I shooed him with my hand.

"Go, and call your lord. You have twenty minutes." I said to him before turning to the ladies. "Now, if these don't entertain me, I'll kill everyone here." I threatened.

The guard turned and ran away.

I let go of my bloodbending, but no one broke the chair's formation.

I pointed to two pretty girls who had quite athletic physiques.

"You sit on my lap while the rest of the ladies dance for me." I said.

"Yes, sir."

"Please, enjoy the show."

The two ladies I pointed at didn't show much resistance, leaving me dumbfounded. They even took off their armor and pants, staying in their underwear.

Must be nice to be powerful, I guess.

As they sat on my lap, the rest did the same, standing before me and starting to dance.

It feels like they've done this before.

Wait a second.

Girls in the military.

Of course, it would happen to them.

And why wouldn't it happen, especially since the Fire Lord is a single guy. Not to mention that there are many powerful figures within the palace.

I guess it's their job—the real job, after all.

And I guess I could understand why women didn't fight at the North Pole or at the Earth Kingdom most times.

Men like me could do awful stuff to them.

I put my hands on the backs of the sitting ladies and pushed them up.

I stood up from the chair and ordered, "Stop dancing. Seeing you like this is more sad than entertaining. Find yourself a real job, have some self-respect."

And I didn't want to look at their reaction. I simply knocked everyone out with my bloodbending and put my hands in my pockets, walking inside the palace gates.

I yawned in boredom as I looked in front of me.

A few hundred, or thousands, were running from inside the palace to the gate.

I stepped back a bit.

Many men in normal soldier attire stepped out, and some women too.

Following those normal-looking soldiers came people dressed in shiny silk and gold, showing their high status and wealth.

And then, they stepped to the side, for who I guessed to be the Fire Lord.

Who appeared, contrary to my expectation, wasn't Ozai.

But a young man in red attire with tied hair that was mostly bald—except on the back of his head… not bald, just shaved.

And the young man had a large burning scar on one of his eyes.

Following him from behind was a breathtaking woman, who happened to be his sister, Azula.

"I have delivered your letter to the Fire Lord, Mr. Ryuk. Hope you keep your promise of going easy," she said.

"What happened to Ozai?" I asked as I looked at Azula.

"He died from high blood pressure." She waved her hand.

'Bullshit.' I looked in her eyes.

Azula smirked. "Anyways, we're prepared to fight you. So do what you came here for. Even at the worst, I'll defend my nation with my soul and body. Guards, attack!"

"Hey, that's not what we agreed—" Zuko tried to argue, but the guards didn't listen to him. They dashed.

"Why does no one listen to me?" Zuko shouted.

"Because you're not the real Fire Lord, just a decoy to take the will of the D instead of the real one," I muttered as I looked at the troops heading toward me. I tilted my head, giving a disappointed look.

I couldn't believe the Fire Lord would die of blood pressure.

That was very unexpected.

And the only person here that I knew could do unpredictable things was Azula.

But it was just a theory. After all, she was a daddy's girl in canon.

I tilted my head, looking at the brave soldiers trying to take me down.

'I've always wondered why Kenshiro always gets attacked despite the villains knowing their fates. I guess I'll never understand.' I thought as I tilted my head and exhaled a tired, long sigh
