This land had hurt.
She felt hurt.
Emma was in no position to even think, the only thing she could do right now is nothing but to suffer immense pain, and soon die.
The gravity was making Emma sink into the ground; the planet was trying to eat her alive.
Snap.
The snap of a finger could be heard right next to Emma. And Emma notices it, slowly even remembering that guy was there.
She was thinking!
To Emma's surprise the pain that she felt, slowly diminished to nothing.
"Are you sure you want that wish of yours? It's going to hurt A LOT to complete my tasks. Even more than that pain you just felt. But, is your wish mere words? Is your resolve just spouts of air that came out of your lungs?!" The odd guy's eyes seemed to flash like a lightbulb as he helped Emma off the ground. Emma had started to recover bit by bit from the small moment of intense gravity.
She had noticed something odd, and unfair, the guy hadn't been affected by gravity at all when he was literally near her!? What in the world was that random unfairness. What was happening here? How was she fine now?
"No. I'll revive her, no matter what I have to go through. I don't care if it hurts, killing someone feels worse." Emma responded with a calm face. In reality she had been shaken to her very core. Just the thought of some pain greater than what she experienced scared her.
But she had to revive Luna.
A robe suddenly fell from the air, and landed on Emma's head, and she hurriedly got it off.
"Was falling clothes a normal thing here? Speaking of that, where am I??!" She merely held the odd clothed fellows' hand and then she had almost died due to intense gravity. What is happening here?
"Wear it, my Gift to you will wear out soon, and you'll be crushed again. I got this made just for... My first helper I would find, and that turned out to be the lucky you." The odd clothed fellow smiled, as he pointed to Emma
Emma asked. "Where are we even? How did we get here?"
"Welcome to the spirit world!" The guy waved his hands in the air and confetti started to rain. "I nearly forgot to say that, I've been practicing it for a while now too. For how you got here, didn't you see it yourself? I clearly teleported you across many, many galaxies."
"WHAT?!" Emma's mouth nearly left her face, she couldn't believe it, Emma was on an alien planet. After watching so many alien and magic related shows and movies, she couldn't help but look anxious.
"Yes?" The guy had a slight smirk on his face. It was like he had seen something out of this world amazing.
Emma took a better look at the alien planet that was surrounding her. The trees that had surrounded the two had seemed like they belonged to earth, except for the fact that they swirled like something made from a Fibonacci sequence art piece. The sky had clouds that looked normal, but there were two Sun's, one like the sun from the Solar system, and the other was a blueish star that was in the midst of day. The floor looked like normal earth, and they were near a pond with normal-ish water.
"Why is this world so similar?" Emma asked herself, her mouth had been wide open the entire time.
"Now for the next challenging task! This one WILL be the most painful thing you probably will ever experience. Are you ready, nameless helper!" The guy shouted enthusiastically waving his hand. then suddenly came to a stop.
"Yeah! How will I beat this one? And what exactly did you mean by Gift?" Emma had slightly caught this man's enthusiasm, he was simply too enthusiastic, probably the most enthusiastic person she had ever met. She was so caught up with it she even missed what he had called her.
The guy's face suddenly stiffened like he was watching a gore scene from a horror movie and took it pretty well. He snapped his fingers and the trees around him shuttered.
RUMBLE!
The trees were shaking, and shaking. If Emma's guess was correct, the noise could probably be heard from a mile away. It was a terrifying scene. Emma couldn't help but stand still in awe.
Then they all unscrambled themselves towards a single point on the ground. All the spiral trees had created some skin-like spiral in the center.
PAH!
All the mushy skin-like substance merged towards a single point. Emma had forgotten about herself, she was only focused on the enticing, never before seen beast that emerged from the mush.
It was standing tall, like a human would, and it was at least one third taller than the odd clothed guy in front of her. It had fluffy fur whose pattern seemed similar to that of an otter's. And a nose that definitely looked like it belonged to one.
Emma was vaguely familiar with this otter man. It looks exactly how Kushtaka would!
"What did that guy call this place again? The spirit world... Wait no way! the legends, the rumors there true! Kushtaka is in front of me!!" Emma shouted in her heart. she was more than overjoyed; the little things she's been obsessing over had not been in vain!
Reality felt fictionally, and fiction felt like reality. Emma couldn't help but feel like this world was a hazy dream.
Regardless, Emma felt more than just excited!
"Stand back." The guy suddenly said to Emma. He moved forward, towards Kushtaka with a determined gaze, to Emma it looked like a human being fighting a bear on steroids. He looked silly to Emma, suicidally silly.
The guy stood in front of Kushtaka, Emma couldn't see exactly what he was doing, but if she had to guess then the odd clothed guy was having a stare down with Kushtaka.
And she was right, the two had just been looking at each other, the odd clothes man looked like some curious child, while Kushtaka was looking at him with a scared expression.
Emma was caught off guard. Why would someone like Kushtaka be scared?
"Don't worry, your death will be quick. And it'll contribute to the dream!" The odd clothed guy said while attempting to pat Kushtaka's shoulders, but failing to do so due to height differences.
Kushtaka immediately ran away as soon as the man touched him. Kushtaka's arms had looked like a constantly moving flesh bulbs
SHING!
Its hands had shot out sharp branches almost piercing through the odd clothed man.
Just before he was hit, the odd clothed man disappeared into thin air.
"C'mon bro don't make this hard on me, I got a big brother kind of just like you!" A voice shouted from the sky while letting out a laugh. Emma was familiar with who this voice belonged to, well not familiar but she understood who it was.
Kushtaka had aimed its arms at the now falling man. Determined to kill him.
The odd clothed man was falling from the sky to the treeless floor with a large smile, while swiftly dodging branch attacks midair.
Splash!
The man landed in the nearby pond, still continuing to laugh. Emma wondered what was so funny to him? He almost got killed!
And he sank. To Emma it looked like he continued to sink to the pond's floor. "I'm done for." Emma quietly cried. Fearing that Kushtaka would attack her next.
The way he sank looked like he had died due to drowning. Emma wasn't ever getting her wish, nor was she going to survive now.
SHING!
Abyss black chains shot from the pond, nearly touching Emma's face, spooking Emma from her sorrow. The chains caught on to Kushtaka.
What was going on?!
"######" The beast cried. Emma had not understood a single thing it had said, but she knew it was trying to speak.
A man in a drenched coat, wet bread and hair, and dry glasses came out of the pond. It was the odd clothed man!
