I flipped the coin again, only for it to turn black when I slapped it on the back of my hand, which meant the future of one of her counterparts, probably the one that was the nearest. Future, even if it regarded a counterpart of a dead body, we know is no good, so I intercepted and luckily managed to do so.
Then I tried revealing it on my palm to at least see the past of one of her counterparts.
Gold, eyes and ears uncovered.
A tall, skinny, black-haired girl with bags under her eyes, walks up and down a dilapidated room. Two older people sit on the ground and watch her—a man and a woman.
"Sit down for a bit, darling, and eat something." The woman says while clutching the hand of her husband.
"No. Be quiet." The girl says, not stopping her footsteps.
She looks at the entrance door of the flat they are in and notices that the fabric that was stuffed into the door slit was partly loose. She widens her eyes and rushes to the door, securing the fabric again.
