Chantelle wasn't being arrogant. It was just too obvious.
"You're right," Rowan said. "I wanted to get to know you through Marco. Since I came back to the country, you've been kind to me. But I've never had the chance to thank you. And now, with everything my sister has done to upset you, I don't even know how to express my thanks or my apology."
Rowan sounded really sincere.
Chantelle raised an eyebrow and gave a small smile. "It's not a big deal. No need to be so formal, Mr. Nelsen."
Since Rowan still hadn't said what he really wanted, she didn't see the point in continuing the conversation.
As she turned to leave, one of the guys beside Rowan suddenly looked nervous. He quickly reached out and grabbed her arm.
"Ms. Chantelle, something seems wrong with your body!"
If he hadn't look so harmless and stopped pulling her the moment she halted in her tracks, Chantelle would have thrown him to the floor.
"Are you insulting me?"
