The beer, once the centrepiece of their earlier excitement, had been entirely forgotten; they left the barrels and focused on what just happened: the bloodroot tree. Now that the chance of carrying Sienna-Rose's child exists, they don't want to waste more time.
"We want to talk," Sophia finally said, stepping forward as their unofficial spokesperson. "Not with you, but… just between us four. Is it alright if we stay here for a little while?" Her eyes held a quiet mix of affection and resolve, and beside her, the other three nodded.
Sienna-Rose, still in her half-buttoned coat, smiled knowingly. "Of course," she said, gesturing for them to follow. Her voice was calm, but there was a flicker of excitement in her eyes. "Come. You four can talk here."
She led them deeper into the corner, a smaller chamber tucked in the far wing—a cosy enclave within the grand workspace. Here, Sienna-Rose had crafted a space that felt more like a lounge than a laboratory.
