Chapter 134 - Chapter 120: Damn, It’s Like Watching a Martial Arts Movie!!!

"Welcome back, players!"

At that moment, Alex spoke with a smile, "As shown in the trailer, in the game Sekiro, players will take on the role of 'Wolf,' venturing into the remote region of Ashina. Armed with all kinds of deadly and powerful weapons, you'll engage in intense combat with countless foes and factions.

"Throughout your journey, you can choose stealth to eliminate enemies quickly or face them head-on in exhilarating duels. Of course, when it comes to bosses, stealth isn't an option."

The audience was stunned.

"Wait, are we actually going to fight people with swords?!"

"Damn, Alex is insane!"

"This combat system sounds super complex!"

"Yeah, this feels just like real-life hand-to-hand combat!"

"He really dares to think—and even more, dares to do!"

"I've never been in a sword fight, just thinking about it makes my scalp tingle!"

"Haha, I'm hyped now! This feels just like a martial arts novel coming to life!"

As Alex finished speaking, players split into two camps.

Some felt the game would be too difficult—forcing players to clash directly with enemies in such an immersive environment felt overwhelming and even a bit intimidating. After all, the battlefield footage alone had already freaked them out.

Others were fired up—mostly male players with adventurous hearts. After all, who didn't dream of becoming a martial arts master as a kid?

They still remembered swinging bamboo sticks and pretending to duel with their friends, imagining the cool, sword-wielding heroes from classic martial arts stories—those who could kill in ten steps without leaving a trace, or take down enemy generals deep in enemy lines. Those were the fantasies they grew up with.

And now, it felt like those childhood dreams might actually come true.

The game's debut was a direct strike to their inner fantasies!

Just then, Alex spoke again: "Well then, I believe you're still craving more. So let me give you a live demonstration—let's pick a boss battle, shall we?"

He clapped his hands, and the massive stage in the center of the venue transformed. A portion of the platform rose and morphed into an ancient-style red arched wooden bridge.

At the far end of the bridge, a towering figure slowly emerged—about three meters tall, dressed in heavy yellow monk robes, gripping a four-meter-long katana. A ghostly mask obscured their face, giving off a truly intimidating presence.

A string of red health bars appeared over the boss's head, alongside the name: Monk of the Broken Vow.

As for Alex, he had changed avatars once more. Gone was the blonde, handsome "Claude." He now appeared as a weathered man with dark skin and scarred cheeks, wearing a black round-neck robe, a yellow cloak, and a katana strapped to his waist.

The stern and determined expression on his face radiated calm strength.

The crowd gasped.

"What the heck—is that monk the boss?! That thing looks way more intimidating than us players!"

"She's massive—three meters tall with a gigantic blade! And Alex is only like 1.8 meters tall with a regular sword. How is that even fair?!"

"Chill! We're just watching. Let's see how Alex handles it!"

"Yeah! If even the game's creator can't beat the boss, now that would be embarrassing!"

"It's time for Alex to eat his own words for showing off, haha!"

As the chatter built up, Alex drew his katana and charged toward the Monk.

The monk rushed in response, raising her massive weapon high overhead!

They clashed mid-bridge!

The audience held their breath—Alex was really doing this!

"Hyahhh!"

The monk let out a guttural roar, leapt into the air, and swung her sword down hard.

"Crap!!" someone in the audience shouted.

That strike looked like it would cleave him in half!

But Alex parried with his katana—clang! Sparks burst out as steel clashed with steel.

Though Alex successfully blocked it, the sheer force knocked him back two steps.

The monk didn't pause—she pressed forward, swinging her blade horizontally.

Alex responded without flinching, countering with a sharp, precise strike!

A spray of blood erupted. The monk's health bar dipped slightly, but she remained unaffected—no flinching, no hesitation.

She counterattacked immediately with another slash, forcing Alex to retreat once more.

Regaining his footing, Alex twirled his wrist and dove back in!

Clang! Clang! Clang!

A rapid exchange of strikes rang out, metal against metal.

The two warriors, one towering and one lean, moved with incredible fluidity, blades flashing and sparks flying.

The monk's weapon swept and chopped—Alex blocked, dodged, and retaliated with precision. Their duel was fierce and thrilling.

The audience was stunned.

"Damn! They're really going at it! This is some hardcore stuff!"

"I feel like I'm watching a legit martial arts movie!"

"My blood's boiling—this is so epic!"

"This game's incredible. It really makes you feel like a true swordsman!"

"I need this now! Take my money! I was born to be a kung fu master!"

Even the executives watching from around the world were dumbfounded. The director of Valve stared in disbelief.

"How... how is this even possible? Is this a game or a live martial arts performance?!"

It looked so real, so smooth, so precise—it felt like watching an expert swordsman at work.

Then it happened.

The Monk of the Broken Vow shrieked again and lunged, thrusting her blade forward.

A large red word flashed above her: Danger!

Without hesitation, Alex lifted his leg and stomped down—on her sword!

Thrown off balance, the monk stumbled forward.

In an instant, Alex leapt onto the blade, launched into the air, backflipped over her—

—and drove his katana straight into her back!

Shunk!

The blade pierced through and emerged from her chest.

Alex pulled the sword out and flicked the blood into the air, splattering the bridge.

"Uuurrgh..."

The monk collapsed with a thunderous crash, her health bar draining almost entirely.

A massive blood-red word appeared before Alex: EXECUTION.

The enemy was slain.

"Holy sh*t!!!"

"That was badass!!!"

"Too freaking cool—especially that final strike!"

"How the hell did he pull off that move? That's not something normal people can do—it's like he's a martial arts master!"

The players were floored. That wasn't just gameplay—it was pure cinematic perfection.

As the monk and bridge vanished, the stage returned to its original form, and Alex reverted to his slick suit and Claude appearance.

"Well, that concludes the live demo," he said with a grin. "So... what do you think?"

"What do we think?! Release it now!!!"

"Shut up and take our money already!!!"

"I need to get back to ancient times—I need to be a swordmaster!"
