Ivanna snapped back to reality,
shaking her head almost imperceptibly –
no matter how ominous she felt,
she couldn't just casually skip school without a valid reason.
Her pencil wandering on notebook as she wrote:
" No I can't take leave just because I feel Something is off !"
Caesar gazed at Ivanna's worried face,
his expression softening with understanding –
he knew she was afraid, even if she didn't say why.
Since she didn't accept his proposal to skip school,
he sighed and said gently,
"I'll drop you to school then!"
Ivanna snapped back to reality, nodded slowly,
and then asked curiously, her pencil hovering over her notebook:
"Why do you always drop me at school?"
Caesar chuckled low in his throat,
a warm smile spreading across his face.
He flicked her hair gently behind her ear,
his voice whispering softly, like talking to a child:
"Because I don't like my girlfriend going by foot."
Ivanna's face blushed deeply,
