As I waited for Liam to arrive, I sat beside Leslie on the bed, praying that she was okay. Her pulse and breathing were steady, giving me some comfort.
A few minutes later, Liam showed up, still dressed in his hospital coat. He was carrying a large bag filled with basic medical equipment.
"Where is she?" he asked as soon as he stepped into my office.
"Right here," I led him to the hidden pocket door and into my bedroom.
Liam glanced at me, shaking his head slightly as he looked at the bed. His expression told me that he knew what went on in this room from time to time.
He wasted no time and quickly began to check her pulse and other vitals.
"She's just exhausted. She should wake up soon. When she does, make sure she drinks a lot of water."
I nodded, taking note of his words. Relief washed over me that she was okay and that it wasn't anything serious.
When we stepped back into my office to let her rest, Liam looked at me.
