Unfortunately six days ago, as Elisa lay unconscious, driven by desperation, Miguel brought a priests and got married to her while she was unconscious.
Miguel made a hasty decision. He believed that binding their fates anew, in her unconscious state, might rekindle some semblance of the life they once held.
Not knowing when she would wake or how she would respond to this unexpected turn of their story.
When Elisa finally stirred, her mind clouded with the remnants of sleep, she gazed up to see Miguel's worried face hovering above her.
Confusion danced in her eyes, and as her senses sharpened, reality crashed down upon her.
"Miguel? What... what happened?"
"You're safe now," he assured softly, his voice tinged with the warmth of longing and relief. "We're together again, my love."
