As the people in the village started to evacuate to the training ground, the people who attacked it were getting ready to go again and finish what they started the moment the sun is about to hide behind the mountains.
The barrier that surrounded the village started to weaken producing a feint white light. Animals which were near by the village started fleeing into the forest and mountains west, east and north of the village without looking back at the village.
They seemed to know what was going to happen if they stayed long enough near the village. Some of the curious ones stayed behind to look at the feint white light being produced by the barrier while some of them were busy looking at the people outside of the barrier armed with weapons they have never seen before.
"Oh, look at those damn animals."
"Looking at us like we're doing something bad while doing them a favor."
A man with a scar on his left cheek said while looking at the animals close to them. His name was "Enovi", and he always looked like he is disgusted by something all the time. He was also one of the top players who lead the people earlier to start attacking the village during daytime.
"Nah, those things are not looking at us. I would say they are looking at you because of your face."
A person sitting next to him said as he looked at the animals then turned to face the man named Enovi.
Enovi looked at him with his face expression unchanged and asked, "Are you trying to pick a fight with me?" as he sized up the man from top to bottom. The other people around them just kept their mouths shut and watched to see what will happen among the two.
The other man looked at Enovi with a serious look and said, "What if I am picking a fight with yo", But before he was able to finish his reply Enovi punched the man and as the man was falling down grabbed him by the neck and smacked his head on a tree.
The man started bleeding while still being hold by Enovi. His whole nose was covered by blood and his face was scratched really bad, but Enovi still couldn't let him go and continued to smack him on the tree.
"Still in the mood to pick a fight huh?" Enovi asked as he continued to smack him.
From a distance, the woman that was talking to the young man who was casting his magic on to break the barrier heard the fuss being made by Enovi and the other man who he was beating up. She wondered what could be going on over there so without wasting her time wondering, she went and approached them.
"Hey, shouldn't we stop them?" Some of the men watching the beat down asked each other as they looked at the man being beaten. They felt sorry for him but couldn't do anything.
"Nah, I think it's best to just let them be." Some of them said while some didn't want to get involved.
"What's going on here?" The woman asked, Her tone serious
Everyone's attention turned towards her except for Enovi who was still beating up the man, but this time he stopped smacking him on the tree and just started punching him continuously.
"It's the second commander Rose hunter." One of the people watching said as all the people looked at her with a surprised face.
"Hey, I asked you a question, so answer it?" Enovi said to the man he was beating up without noticing that the woman named Rose was right behind him as he used the man's face as a punching bag.
"Hey. Stop it!" Rose said as she grabbed Enovi by the shoulder.
Enovi still punched the man felt that someone touched him so without checking first who was grabbing him he turned quickly and punched Rose's face.
"How dare you touch me damn ass!" He said while let's go of the man and turns to face whoever was touching him. Without realizing it Enovi was flying together with the man he was beating up, His armor fell down and broke into several pieces.
"...What just happened?" The men who were watching Enovi and the man fight started wonder as Rose stood there with a bleeding nose while she looked Enovi with an angry look as she bit her under lip.
"Why are you acting like wimps?" Rose said as she turned her head to face the people who were watching Enovi beat up the man. But then she added.
"Aren't you supposed to be imperial soldiers?"
Everyone stayed quiet while they start to look down with fear one by one. Rose's face became dark as if she was turning into a demon, but her bleeding nose still continued to bleed but she couldn't care less about it.
As dusk approached, everyone got up in several groups to surrounding the village. It was quiet as if there was nothing there, and all the men's weapons were fully loaded and good to go. The barrier around the village started to lose the feint light it was producing earlier, and it just fade away.
Rose was standing near the village main gate together with a man who looked like he was having a good time and Enovi with the man he was beating up earlier. They both looked like nothing had happened between them and Enovi was wearing another armor different from the first one he was wearing.
"It's quiet odd?"
"I had imagined that the people in the village would be panicking by now and try to leave the village.
Rose said while making a complicated face and looking at the village with the others.
"Maybe there just hiding away or planning to fight back." The man who looked like he was having a good time said with an intimidating voice while Enovi and that other guy kept quiet while keeping a close watch at the village.
Rose looked at him with a gloomy look on her face and said nothing as she holds her weapon properly.
Meanwhile, almost the whole village had evacuated to the training grounds and hid inside Reiko's barrier which made everything outside to look like it was okay, in other words, perfectly normal.
The people who were training on the training grounds earlier, including Rica, were confused with what was going on with the villagers as some of the villagers were badly wounded and some were still panicking.
"What's going on?" Reiko asked one of the people who were training earlier. When Reiko left her to wait so that she could check something out she got bored and so she approached the others and made them her friends. They were almost the same age, but they were just one year or two years older than her.
"Why are their more and more villagers coming here?" She added.
In the cloud of the villagers, she saw Hajime and Reiko coming towards them, but the strange thing to her was that Reiko was carrying Hajime on her back. This filled her head with so many questions that she needed answers to them quickly, then she saw the baby dragon walking besides Reiko, and she had forgotten about the questions she wanted to hear answers to.
"Hey, Welt!" She called out and started running towards Reiko and the baby dragon started running towards her.
"Well, you look happy." Reiko said as she puts Hajime down while Rica hugs the baby dragon.
In the village, the imperial soldiers found that there was no one left in the village, and they couldn't see the barrier on the on the training ground because it looked like there was nothing there but only a small hill.
"Where did everybody go?" One of the imperial soldiers said as they stood on the middle of the village while the others were going door by door hoping to maybe find stragglers but the houses where empty.
"Let's keep looking. I know that they are somewhere around here." Another said as he starts to andante forward the village square where Hajime's house was also located.
