Faye Townsend rolled her eyes at him. Was he really discussing this with her? Clearly, he had already made arrangements and was just informing her.
After going downstairs, Faye initially planned to get in the car, but Hunter Warren blocked her way.
"Is it that I hold your hand as we take a walk together,
or do you come along for a walk on your own initiative?"
Seeing Faye hesitate, Hunter continued, "You just ate quite a bit, it's a good time to walk it off."
"After finally eating so much, why would I walk it off? Isn't that a waste?"
Hunter laughed out loud; this is quintessential Faye.
"Let's go." He didn't try to persuade her further, just took her hand and started to walk.
Faye pulled her hand away: "Alright, alright, I'll walk by myself. That's fine, right?"
She didn't like being manipulated to do his bidding.
But she understood him; if she didn't walk with him,
he would actually hold her hand and make her walk with him.
