Ou Jue got straight to the point, "You went home?"
"Yeah, just got home not long ago. Wait, hold on—how do you know I went home?"
Ou Jue scoffed coldly, "I just know. Why did you go back so early?"
"I wasn't feeling very well, so I took some leave and came back early."
Ou Jue paused slightly as he was flipping through a folder. His brows furrowed as he lifted his gaze, "Where do you feel unwell?"
"Just a little cold." Xia Xiyan made up a random excuse.
No, actually, it wasn't entirely made up. She did have a bit of a cold.
She had caught a cold when she went to the beach not long ago, and now, with the change of seasons, she'd once again become a collateral victim.
Xiyan felt that she was kind of weak. Wimp wimp wimp.
"Idiot."
"What did you say?" Xiyan pouted. Does this guy have no emotional intelligence at all?
"I'm hanging up."
