Qin Yi's face was grim. He searched every room but found no traces of Liu Yiren's presence.
"Could she have climbed over the back wall?"
Tan Yi shook his head, "No. My men have surrounded the yard. Even a bird couldn't escape unnoticed."
Qin Yi's brows furrowed. Tan Yi's men saw Liu Yiren being brought into this yard, yet she was nowhere to be found. Where could these people have hidden her?
Tan Yi suddenly looked toward the garden and the vegetable plot, his expression changing slightly, "Could they have...?"
Though Tan Yi didn't finish, Qin Yi's expression changed dramatically. He understood what Tan Yi meant — was he suggesting that the Blood Cloud Tower people might have killed Liu Yiren and buried her?
"No way!" Qin Yi swallowed nervously.
"Why not?" Tan Yi asked.
Qin Yi replied solemnly, "They captured Yiren to deal with me. If I haven't shown up, they definitely wouldn't kill her."
"That makes sense. But what if they accidentally killed her?"
