"How much do you know about the world..?"
Miss Lauren asked and Zach raised his hand..
"Same as everyone... the world evolved, giving birth to flow users, people that see the under current of reality and use that to fight the monster that escape to earth through rifts" Zach explained.
"Wow that's actually a lot.." Lauren remarked.
"But do you know how flow cam to be.." she raised a finger smirking..
' How flow actually came to be..? ' Zach thought flow had always been there human weren't just seeing it until decades ago.
I'm sure you believed the ideal that flow was always present... that's actually true
She raised a finger
"But there an energy that help one grasp flow. That energy is called existence" she revealed.
Existence..? Zach raised a brow.
"Long ago there was a massive disturbance in the astryx, leading to warps on reality, rifts if you you like to call it."
She held out two sheets of paper, placing.g each of them parallel together.
"And when the cracks started appearing to earth, and the newly discovered monsters flooded the earth. While that happened another energy flowed into the world"
She continued, combing the two papers together to become one.
"This energy is emitted by a stone, called existence stones, I can't really explain it, but basically the absorption of those stones will help a mortal rank knight reach higher levels."
"So the more you absorb existence stones.. the more powerful you're going to get.."

As the lecture went on Zach discovered the girl's name was Amy, and the blond guy's name was Arthur.
Amy emanated a kind of cool vibe that would make any one around her relax, while Arthur radiated quite the opposite, his occasional infuriating glaces would make anyone on edge..
"Now Let's move on to the power system."
Zach thought as much.
He knew there were ranks and stages of awakening but can't quite figure it out.
There are two roads a warrior takes" she raised two fingers.
"One rank and the other awakening, one measures your power, one measures your soul.." she slightly paused.
The rank goes like this.
• Mortal - where you all begin, you're barely scratching the surface of your potential stronger than ordinary men, but not enough.
• Earth - This rank is when your body starts adapting , your bones harden, muscles tighten. You can tear through steel with effort and dodge a speeding arrow.
• Sky - This rank is the breaking point, you fully evolve to something more than human, fast enough to doged bullets and strong enough to lift a whole commercial truck.
• Star - That's when you become dangerous, a force on the battle field capable of out running a hypersonic missile, and dodging projectile up to the speed of mach 20
• Heavenly rank - is where you become a national level threat, capable of decimating an entire country.
• Above the heavenly knight is the Void knights, beings that can even weave realities, and create realms, currently the world only knows of 12 void knights.
•Then we have the primordial knights.
She coughed..
"No one has ever reached this level so no one would know how it feels."
She explained as the trio attentivly listened.
But where things get interesting is The Stages of awakening.
Rank determines how hard you hit, how fast you move, and how much destruction your body can handle. But what makes that hit land is actually awakening.
Rank is like a sword, and awakening is the hands that wielding it.
The stages of awakening are.
She turned to the white board behind her and began with swift elegant strokes of the paper rolled up.
• Ignorance - this is where most people stay, they fight with brute force, with no rhythm, no foresight, just instincts.
• Curiosity - you begin to ask questions, why did I lose?, Why'd I flinch.. this is the frist sign, it's like your mind is waking up.
• Suspicion - you don't just ask anymore, you begin to see, movements, rhythm, even patterns, openings, you become cautious but dangerous.
• Understanding - Now the dance truly begins, you finally know why you're doing, you fight with purpose, flow, rhythm no panic.
Both resonance and perfection are truly vast topics that I think we won't be able to cover up today.
Miss Lauren chuckled, she seemed to be having fun teaching these kinds of things.
For the frist time in the class Arthur raised his hand.
"What is it Arthur..?" Miss Lauren asked.
"Which is better..?" he asked.
"I don't understand your question." She blinked.
" Is having a high rank or reaching higher in the stages of awakening" which is better?.
She turned at the board.
"A Star ranked knight at the stage of understanding, can out class a heavenly knight brute stuck at the stage of suspicion."
She paused.
"Because power is one thing..." she tapped her temple.
"But mastery?, that's what win wars..".she causally stated.
"Does that answer your question..?' Arthur nodded.
"I think that's all for today.. I wouldn't want to bombard you with knowledge on your first day..." she laughed.
"Come back here at 6am tomorrow, no excuses." She said trying to sound strict but her warm smiled betrayed her.
The trio stepped out of the lecture hall, all tired.
"I think I'm going to.eat at the cafeteria, she said looking at the nonchalant Zach.." Care to join me, she asked blinking.
Zach looked at the brown haired sheepish girl in front of him.
He blinked. He wasn't used to being invited anywhere. Much less someone like her— friendly, genuine, it was nice.
"Um... why not" he shrugged, he was kind of hungry anyways, and this would be the perfect opportunity to finally make some friends in his life.
"You wanna come..?" Amy gestured her hand at Arthur who's hand was slid into his uniform pocket.
"I was headed there anyways" he shrugged nonchalantly.
