Chapter 110: Asking the Summoning Spirit to Follow
Anubis was not surprised, but the sealed Dragon God could not be easily awakened by the Summoning Spirit Tree. In fact, failing to awaken him would have side effects, such as further suppressing his divinity, making it harder to awaken him next time. Additionally, he would enter a lethargic state after waking, becoming drowsy.
The only possible benefit was that the awakening process would not cause much disturbance, avoiding attention from the outside world. However, this was only if the Dragon God could wake up at all.
"Summon… spirit? Summon spirit!" Black Crow exclaimed in astonishment. "You really found the Summoning Spirit Tree?"
"I didn't find it," Xia Feng replied with a slight smile, glancing at Gongsun Ze. "It was this 'good brother' who did it~"
As he spoke, Xia Feng stepped closer to Miss Evil Dragon and lifted her smooth chin.
"Wait! What are you doing?!" Black Crow reacted, his voice trembling slightly.
"What else? Waking him up," Xia Feng said, rolling his eyes before lowering his head.
The black crow panicked and quickly blocked Xia Feng's mouth. "Don't—wait! Not yet! Don't wake him up now!"
Xia Feng looked puzzled. "Huh? Didn't you want me to wake him up earlier?"
Black Crow fell silent for a moment before sighing helplessly. "Fine. But before that, human brat, I have a few things to tell you."
"Instructions?"
"First, after Lady Di Si wakes up, if she asks where I've been, just say I felt deeply sinful and went to purgatory on earth to undergo trials."
"…What?"
"Second, if Lady Di Si wakes up and doesn't remember me, don't mention what I just said. Pretend you don't know me."
"What the hell?"
"Third, Lady Di Si may seem cold, but she's actually very kind. So, brat, remember not to anger her."
"Don't say it like that. You're scaring me."
"Fourth… Well, there is no fourth. That's it."
The black crow flapped its wings and retreated, a trace of nostalgia flickering in its vertical pupils.
"Ms. Black Crow, are these your last words?" Xia Feng asked, confused.
"Pah—!" Black Crow smacked Xia Feng's head with its wing. "What last words? I'm just leaving this place temporarily."
"Huh? You can leave a sealed space?"
"Heh, did I ever say I couldn't?"
The back-and-forth between the man and the crow left both the god and the outsider bewildered.
"Lord Anubis, this kid claims he can wake that god?" Gongsun Ze muttered suspiciously.
"Bluffing," the giant scoffed. He had already seen through their act—pretending they could awaken the Dragon God to scare him off.
"Pathetic."
The ten-meter-tall giant gazed down with his eight pupils, his voice cold. "Ant, if this is all you've got, I suggest you surrender now."
Ignoring the outsiders, Xia Feng glanced at Black Crow before tilting Miss Evil Dragon's chin again.
Di Si's face was flawless. On her left cheek, desolate white dragon scales extended to the corner of her eye, enhancing her allure, while her right side radiated sacred purity.
As Xia Feng lifted her chin, a strand of soft, cloud-gray hair fell across her lips.
Di Si's delicate face tilted slightly upward as Xia Feng leaned in, stopping half an inch away.
Instantly, an overwhelming surge of evil spirit liquid poured from her red lips, absorbed frantically by Xia Feng.
Simultaneously, the dark golden sacred cross mark engraved on her forehead flickered, emitting a floating light.
Xia Feng's forehead beaded with sweat as waves of electric pleasure shot up his spine, stimulating his nerves.
The intoxicating sensation soon left him overwhelmed.
Without pause, Xia Feng grabbed the Ancient Warblade and channeled the overflowing evil spirit liquid into the princess's body. He continued until no more could be absorbed, then released the domain, instantly reclaiming it to discharge the accumulated evil power. This cycle repeated for hours.
"Lord Anubis, what is he doing?" Gongsun Ze asked, bewildered.
The eight-eyed giant was equally puzzled. The Dragon God's domain blocked all external perception, but visually, it appeared Xia Feng was absorbing the evil energy sealing the Dragon God.
Was he trying to awaken the Dragon God by draining the corrupting power? Anubis found the idea absurd. Even an eight-eyed evil god like himself couldn't achieve such a feat.
"Wait," Anubis muttered, shaking his head. "Let's see what trick he's playing."
Xia Feng felt himself nearing collapse. Wave after wave of evil spirit liquid assaulted his nerves, leaving his body weak and aching. His vision blurred, his face slack with exhaustion—yet he persisted. Because he swore Di Si's eyelids had twitched.
Then—
A resonant buzz erupted as golden ripples burst from the woman's brow.
Anubis smirked, ready to mock—until his body locked rigid. "What?!" he gasped, stumbling back. His massive foot slammed the earth, shaking the space around him.
Another pulse of sacred golden energy surged outward, crashing against the sealed land's gray hemispherical barrier. The awakening's force, though contained, strained the prison's limits.
Anubis stared, stunned. The Dragon God was reviving? No—that couldn't be! His expression twisted in panic. He had to flee!
But when he tried, he couldn't escape. The Crow God had severed the exit.
"Heh~ I told you to leave earlier," Black Crow taunted, her voice dripping with smug triumph. "Now? Too late~"
Gongsun Ze paled. "Lord Anubis… you said they were bluffing?"
The giant's eight pupils quivered violently. He had no reply.
Cold sweat drenched Gongsun Ze. Damn this useless evil god! His certainty crumbled. Today was supposed to be victory—capturing Xia Feng, making him suffer. Yet here they were, outmaneuvered at every turn.
And it was all because of Xia Feng. Rage and terror warred in Gongsun Ze's chest. How did this bastard have a deity like that on his side?
Jealousy curdled his thoughts. He'd thought himself blessed, chosen by Anubis. But seeing the so-called god cower before the Dragon God's awakening? Despair choked him.
Another golden wave rolled forth.
The eight-eyed giant and Gongsun Ze shuddered, their gazes snapping to the throne.
Something monstrous was waking up.
