"Henry?" Jamie looked at him with a hint of hurt in her eyes. He knew that she was not happy with his actions, and Henry's heart couldn't help but soften when he heard her speak in that tone.
Though he knew that she was not the woman with whom he fell in love, he did know that somewhere he had lived with this woman. He softened his tone and said, "It's nothing; the chair is a bit rickety. It has been for ages; if we move too much, I am afraid that it will break."
Jamie looked at the chair, which did look old, and a hint of disdain flashed in her eyes. The reason she had rushed back to the country after finding out that Henry had lost his memories was that she wanted to become the wife of the heir of the Holman corporation.
