Chapter 175 - chapter 174

Hou heard what Hamar said and he made a noise before raising his finger,

"Just wait for a second Hamar, I just had a thought. Let me just think it through"

Hou said he would think it through, but really he meant that he would talk to Araxis and Yue about it. Yue was constantly aware in the Celestial Ink controlling his body but Araxis had been hibernating in his mind.

Hou conjured them both up and inside his mind he imagined them as in a command room,

"Master, Araxis, I have an idea. There's no laws for aura and mana in this world, that's due to it being foreign and from Araxis' world right?"

Araxis slowly woke up and spoke, "my memory has been degrading but yes. I didn't have enough knowledge to fully interpret mana into this world. So it exists but is not controlled by the Dao that I created."

Yue was next to speak, since he had become separate from Hou they could not as easily share thoughts and memories,

"I think I see what you're hinting at. You want to know if we can think of a way to 'add' mana into the Dao with magic allowing Hamar to function as a cultivator?"

Hou nodded, "that's exactly what I'm thinking but I don't quite know if it's possible, and if it is...can I do it?"

Araxis spoke, "Send me some mental energy and give me control of the mind, I need to think."

Hou side eyed him mentally and then said, "sure but first I actually had another idea I might need your guys help with, creating a willpower core to hold a huge amount of mental energy for later"

"Sounds good, but give me willpower and control now so I can figure this out for you. My memories have severely degraded so I'll need to think longer in order to figure out if this is possible. Then afterwards, you should be able to create the mental energy core with swordsman core and magic circles as reference yourself."

Hou sighed and agreed to do it. In order for Hamar tonnot be suspicious he held up two finger and tapped his forehead.

Then as he did, he left his body's control to Yue who was in his physical mind. Instead Hou was simply a quasi-Nascent Soul inside the body.

While in this form, it was difficult for Hou to understand Araxis and Yue so he waited until he felt no resistance to go back into his body.

From Hamar's perspective, Hou touched his forehead and slumped for a moment before sitting back up. While Araxis was calculating he used a few magic spells which helped him, in doing so he twitched his fingers. His breathing fastened, his body was in constant motion. Hamar sighed and reached for his sword at his waist, polishing it with a cloth.

He moved them and created various sigils in the air and inscribed lines of mana into the world. He started to sweat and heat up.

Then after a tense few hours, he finished his calculations and Hou's body collapsed. Quickly, Hou regained control and the Celestial Law Amplifying Physique began to heal from the laws in the quasi-Nascent Soul seeping through.

"I'm fine Hamar, just sit a little longer"

"Okay, but if you're not fine that's fine. I'm here, remember." Hamar looked at Hou with genuine sympathy.

Hou nodded, "I know, I'm nearly done."

Hou returned to his mind and spoke with Yue and Araxis,

"So? What's the conclusion?"

Araxis sighed, "it's possible. I had to recheck a few times but you can definitely do it. But. There is a catch, you cannot as if right now. Since your body has gone through so many reformations, You've gone back to the start. You're just a beginner circle mage, not even. You're a mage in name only, that's why it took so long to do the calculations."

"So all my magic circles are gone, I haven't checked I've been so busy... It's definitely not possible yet?"

Araxis shook his head mentally, "As of right now, no. Not unless you use Hamar for help. While he isn't a mage so it will be much harder, a swordsman should be able to give you just enough power to do it. But you'll also need a lot of laws anyway, I'll transfer mentally what you would need."

Hou looked at what Araxis sent and his mouth physically fell open,

"Uh-huh..t-that much?" Hou's body dropped and he bit his lip, "Is there no other way? That amount of laws is impossible for me to get, and if there was a way I'd have to ask Master Sheng but how do I explain it?"

"Well, maybe leave that for later. Right now there's still something you can do to achieve a similar effect. You could link your two bodies together. Aura is like…a wildfire. It burns away any foreign laws in the soul. So, to make Hamar a cultivator, we'd need to use a separate area not touched by the fire for the 'wood', laws, to be. In this case, it would be linking your bodies. Additionally it'll need much less laws, still with Hamar's help for the mana though. Aura is slightly different than mana but as a derivative it can be used in place of it."

"How many laws of what this time?" Hou asked tentatively.

Once he got the numbers he breathed a sigh of relief and sat back up,

"That's perfectly doable, I'll first see if I could ask Master Sheng for a few days off with Hamar and some ingredients on loan. From what I've seen of him, he's generous. He might ask us to do something, but I think we should be able to do this."

From outside, Hamar had been sitting polishing his sword and had gotten bored. He knocked on the wooden floor boards,

"Any... progress? Not trying to be impatient but I would like an update?"

Hou snapped out of his conversation and quickly ended his conversation with his inner voices. Araxis quickly hibernated, in order to slow the degradation of his memories.

Hou opened this eyes and looked towards Hamar, "How long have I been?"

"A few hours, maybe five?"

"Five hours?! I've got two things to tell you. First let's create that core for mental energy. But the real reason I called you is something I'll have to ask Master Sheng for help for. It's close to what you were saying but different at the same time, but for now forget about it."
