When Gu Moqian spoke, his gaze was fixed on Ji Wei. Seeing her expression suddenly darken, he couldn't help but reach out to hold her small hand resting on her knee. "If you feel uncomfortable, I won't go pick her up."
Ji Wei looked at the man's gentle eyes and brows. Though she felt slightly uneasy inside, she still tried her best to suppress it. "How could we do that? Mom just came back; we can't let her stay in someone else's house, right?"

Ji Wei suddenly smiled and made an effort to cheer up. "I'll head back to Shanshui Manor to tidy up the house first, and wait for you all to return."
