She nodded. "I'm sorry, I will be more careful from now on."
Crypt lowered his head. She could see the way his fingers gripped the edge of the fur beneath him.
"You're not angry?" he asked quietly.
"No." She walked over and sat beside him. "I'm just... surprised. That's all."
He relaxed just slightly.
"You're sure it's mine?"
He looked at her sideways. "You're the only one I've been with."
She gave a small, practiced smile. "Then congratulations to both of us."
He let out a quiet breath, then reached out and rested his hand over hers. "I was scared." He admitted, just above a whisper. "I didn't know if I should say anything. If it would make you leave."
"Why would I leave?" she replied without pause.
He leaned forward and pressed his forehead gently to her shoulder.
"Because some females despise pregnant males and will leave them until they give birth before coming back again." He replied in a single breath.
