JADE POV.....
" Is it me or is Nigel damn cool". Anyways i think I'm fantasizing, but I've never felt this way before, ever!!. I don't know what to do, I can't get distracted. But for some reason I really want to go meet him.
Jade's body moved on it's own, taking the first step to Nigel but stopped mid-air when a feminine voice was heard from the entrance of the mansion, Lilly walked up to Nigel excitedly, hugged and then kisses him;
" I was looking for you this morning but you weren't in your room, I wanted to be the first person to tell you Good morning", Lilly said with a coquettish tone, while wrapping her arms around his waist.
Nigel looked unresponsive but calmly said; " I was busy, later".
I don't know why, but when I saw this, I felt as if my heart sank to the bottom of stomach. Thats right, I had forgotten that am just a commodity that was bought, I was really getting ahead of myself. I can't help but feel stupid. My only goal now is to treat him, and leave.
Jade turned back and was heavy to her room, but she bumped into something hard, she didn't fall though but was pushed back. It was Hilbert walking while holding Alexis.
" Am sorry I didn't see you there"; Jade said sincerely.
Hilbert had seen everything, he saw when Jade was going to meet Nigel, and the moment she stopped. He saw her expression and he felt sorry for her as well as angry and annoyed. He felt angry at that girl Lilly for taking advantage of his best friend. He also felt annoyed at the circumstances right now sorrounding Jade and Nigel.
" No don't worry am fine, weren't you going for a walk just now?", Hilbert said trying to mask him emotions.
" I don't have the headache anymore"; Jade said in a low voice and walked past him.
Just as she was about to leave, she turned back and handed over a book to Hilbert, Hilbert opened it and read the content, slowly flipping through the pages. It was a specially tailored food time table.
Hilbert scanned through the content and realized it was tailored to perfection, he knew how Nigel's former dieticians were and they couldn't plan such a well thought out diet plan even if they tried. And her calligraphy was outstanding too.
" Please help me hand it over to the chefs, it for Nigel's diet plan"; Jade said calmly then turned to leave.
" Aren't you having breakfast miss"; Hilbert asked concerned.
" I'll eat later, I lost my appetite "; Jade said as she walked away.
Hilbert felt disappointed when he heard this, he let out a heavy sigh and continued to walk with Alexis.
" Is sister-in-law angry at brother"; Alexis said looking up at Hilbert with a sad look.
" No she isn't, she's just a bit tired"; Hilbert replied while carrying Alexis in his arms then heading to the kitchen.
Nigel stood there emotionless, He stood stiff then Lilly let go to see his cold expression. Lilly felt a chill silently go down her spine.
Nigel leaned down over to her and said in a menacing tone; " Don't cross your boundaries, you know the reason why you're here. I won't tolerate more in the future".
Lilly hearing this was stunned of course she knew why she was here. It's all thanks to her father who had saved Nigel's pregnant mom from a fire while Nigel was still in military camp.
When Nigel came back and took over the Business, her father was on the verge of death, his last wish was for his daughter to be taken care off. Nigel held and fulfilled that wish, even if it meant sacrificing his body.
Lilly stared at Nigel stunned;" Is it because of that brat Jade, you talking to me like this".
Nigel not sparing her a glance, replied coldly;" Jade is my wife and you're not, in future address her more respectful or there be consequences". Nigel said as he finally stared at her, giving her a look that sent a chill down her spine.
Lilly bowed her head defeatedly, as Nigel walked past her. She clenched her fist wanting to curse Jade, but not daring to.
Hilbert had now come back from the kitchen, after giving the book to the chefs they had the same expression, but way more dramatic.
" I want to go to brother "; Alexis said pointing at Nigel who was talking to his assistant Diego. Who had come in a few minutes ago.
Hilbert walked over to Nigel and Diego and said ;
" Alexis wants you to hold him"; he said giving him to Nigel. Nigel then held his little brother.
" Long time no see Hilbert, have you found a girlfriend yet?".
" Stop talking nonsense, that's all you ever do". Hilbert said sighing.
" Can't your friend greet you anymore, I mean with a face like that it really isn't hard you know ". Diego said smiling.
Hilbert sighed and said; " shut up you rascal, you no different from me".
Diego just laughed and continued teasing his friend.
" Why aren't you with sister-in-law, are you bored"; Nigel said in a calm tone holding his brother gently.
" No that's not it, sister-in-law said she wanted to go for a walk, but when me and uncle Hilbert came down, she started walking back to the elevator and she looked unhappy too, maybe she saw the way Aunty Lilly was holding you"; Alexis said in a low voice and had a sad look on his face.
Nigel paused and realised that Jade had seen that, he felt a pang of guilt in his heart, he didn't know why he felt this way, but he didn't like it.
