Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: moon's cover

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The moon lit up the nobles district with an ethereal glow bathing all that stood in it. Hushed voices of guard patrols filled the otherwise quiet streets. Ivy stared down at them, three days had passed with her battle with the wolves. She had used a spell that make, her claws sink easily into the stone walls of the noble estates that were sprinkled throughout the district. Her white mask sat snugly on her face, her white dress danced on the chilly breeze. Ivy had scouted the district the day before and finally found the Goldteeth estate, the roof under her hands belonged to the fretful building. Shifting her nails back into her claws she crawled to the nearest window and looked inside, no one. She gently opened the window beaming at the fact that they didn't lock something so easily used to enter one's home. Slipping inside was easily done, she landed inside her feet banged against the floor not loud but audible. Shifting her feet into her paws she silently made her way over to the door before opening it, a hallway greeted her adorned with slave collars and portraits at the right the hall turned in a different direction and to her left stood a guard turned with its back to her holding up a lamp. The light flickered and danced with the flame trapped inside its metal shell. Ivy silently made her way over to the guard who just started turning, in a rush of panic she pounced planting her hand over his mouth and both falling to the ground, he struggled under her only to stop as Ivy ripped open his neck. Standing up she grabbed the lantern ending its purpose with a blow to the flame.

A trail of blood followed Ivy as she dragged the flesh bag's body into the room she entered forcing the corpse to smile and pray on the floor. Once finished she stepped back into the hall closing the door behind her. Angela appeared beside Ivy, "I've seen the body you left, why so specific?" Halting Ivy turned to the ghostly cat, she seemed to light up her surroundings like the moon lit up the night. "I want to send a message, a message to the man that, murdered my people, a message to warn him. To make him pray to whatever he worships. Because his death will be celebrated throughout the world." Ivy's heart burned with anger while Angela slowly nodded. "I understand." Focusing back to her mission Ivy hunted the halls killing guards and smearing their organs on the walls, extinguishing every fire that she came across. An anguished scream entered her ears guiding her to a door. It opened with a creak revealing the slave she saw at Azalea's birthday and many more all locked in cells covered in rags and dirt. A fat flesh bag was inside one of the cells approaching the singular female slave in that cell. He was completely naked from top to bottom, some slaves looked at Ivy as she entered, and she gestured them to be quiet as the door closed behind her. "I'm going to have so much fun with you," the man sneered his voice like nails on a chalkboard. "I've heard elf's and specifically dark elves are divine to play with for the first time." "Stay away from me!" The girl's voice came out in sobs like a broken record, her arms holding the few rags she wore in place. Having enough Ivy walked over and grabbed the man's shoulder, digging her shifted claws into them. He looked back with a pained expression. "Who are you? I command you to let me go!" Ivy scoffed. "Make me." As he drew in breath to yell Ivy ripped out his tongue with her free hand before giving a knee to his sacred place making him collapse in silent pain, with a wet splat the tongue hit the wall leaving a trail of crimson liquid.

The flesh bag squirmed in pain clutching his trophy. I laughed, delivering a quick kick to the mouth. Teeth fell out as he opened it a bit before wincing and covering it with his hands. Ivy gestured for the little girl to come over, the girl's eyes shone with furry and freight. "Don't worry I won't hurt you." Carefully she approached wincing as Ivy stabbed the man's eyes out. "Here." Ivy gave the girl a knife she had pocketed from a guard. "Have fun." Ivy smiled as the girl to her gift and plunged it into the man's arm, he let out a silent scream blood running down his face like tears. Breaking the remaining locks of the cages she let the swarm of slaves has their way with the man sealing his fate with the clicking of a closing door.

Finally arriving at the first floor Ivy searched for the room of the head butler or maid. She wandered the floor not finding any room for maids or butlers, frustrated she kept searching. Slow barely audible clicks echoed through the hall a light flickered. "A guard." Ivy lips curled into a grin. Thoughts rippled through her mind as she crept closer and closer. Lunging Ivy clasped her hand over his mouth stabbed her claws through his arm holding the lantern. Metal crashed onto the ground making a big ruckus and with a kick, the thing flew to the other side of the hall extinguished sucking them back into the darkness. Pressing her claws against the flesh bag's neck she made sure to let him know that he was in danger. Dragging him into the kitchen for privacy she hissed into his ear, "Where is the room for the head butler or maid. I don't care how you flesh bag's call them." "They're in the floor above." Ivy pressed her claws deeper into his neck. "You're lying!" "No I'm not. Please." Ivy narrowed her eyes realizing she indeed didn't fully explore the floor above her. Shrugging she snapped her jaws around his neck, bones broke flesh teared and blood started flowing as his head fell off landing on the ground with a thud. Lifting the headless corpse on the kitchen table she also forced it into a praying position before grabbing the head and putting it beside it forcing it to smile.

The stairs cracked and creaked as Ivy ascended ones more, checking on the slaves she was greeted with a blood filled room intestines lay everywhere, brain matter mingled in. The slaves looked up and nodded before beginning to shuffle out the room creeping their way downstairs. Ivy walked to the room where she entered from and took the other path clearing out guards with repeating ease. The hall stretched on doors lining the walls with quick succession or spaced across with quite a bit of distance, creaking open door per door most rooms were empty others were occupied with a maid or butler who didn't live long after being seen. Eventually Ivy reached a room with on its door bolted with cursive metal letters read head butler. She opened the door and shifted into her fox form. Jumping on his bed she watched as the butler opened his eyes and stared horrified at her. Ivy flicked her tail. Unsheathing her claws she penetrated the weird cloth draped across the man. Her claws eventually reached the sides of his stomach the man eyes shone with pain and fright his mouth opened to scream but a quick spell later, and it was frozen shut. Angela walked in "I'm going home." Ivy nodded for her to go. Returning her attention to the man she smiled and stabbed at his heart and let him bleed out. Shifting to her other form she put her dress back on and her mask. Grabbing the keys she walked to the stairs and tried every key before finding the right one and upstairs.

Angela stepped through the empty streets the way Ivy killed those people was brutal tough she didn't say anything about it as she felled that flesh bags like Ivy called them deserved pain for what they did. Her mind flashed back to the horrid cells of her children doing things to each other that she would end up killing her new litters to stop what happened to her other kids. Drugs clouding her judgment, her maternal instincts screaming at her, and that bed with heavy chains… that bed. She suppressed the memory. The commoner was filthy as always so she was glad when she reached the wall. Phasing through it was easy. The forest cane into view and she bounded over with an intense energy she felled there was something wrong in there.

Ivy stared at the guard infested hall she didn't have the time, to kill them all individually. Two magic circles formed behind her using the mana for a medium spell two massive use pillars flew through the air skewering all the guards, the wall cracked as the ice pillars came to a stop inside the wall. Making her way over to the door she opened it. There he was Goldenteeth, she entered with seething rage. With a kick to the head she sent him flying through the room. A scream echoed from outside grabbing Ivy's attention running to the window she peaked outside there he was the man that randomly appeared at Azalea's birthday party hacking away at slaves that were streaming outside. "Why?" She screamed they just gave away something was going on in this estate, a groan from behind her caught her attention. The noble was rising groaning as he did, Ivy quickly hurried over punching him back on the ground and dragging him back to the bed. With much effort she got the swine on it. "Tsalice," she started screaming at the top of her lungs pausing to catch her breath. "Come and take this noble as an offering." Tsalice appeared, her numerous tales were swaying behind her in a hypnotic rhythm. "Thank you for your offering my child, your promised gift is three years in life span increasing yours to four years and five months." Ivy stared in amazement as numerous tails wrapped around the noble and removed something see through, his soul. Tsalice nodded and vanished. "Posylon, the god of earth foxes wants to speak to you, he will visit you in your dreams." Tsalice voice echoed in her mind. Hurrying back to the window Ivy saw that the knight was still fighting the slaves, although it was the last surviving one. Then she saw something in his arm small, barely noticeable, but the faint glow of a mana suppressing color caught her eye. The door swung open and the dark elf from earlier came rushing in. "Please help me I don't want to die." Ivy clenched her eyes shut she wanted to run away, but she felt bad so casting a quick spell on her claws and the little girl's hand that made them stick to walls. "Come on you can crawl on walls now!" "Is it safe?" Ivy groaned. "Yes, it's safe." She hurried to a window and opened it shifting into her fox form she slit outside ignoring the frightened gasp. She waited on the roof as the girl finally reached her. "You're a monster." She said frightened. Shifting back Ivy called out. "Yeah, so what? I'm not going to hurt you, and if you want you can come with me." The girl hesitated before nodding slowly as Ivy returned to her original form. Hurrying away from the noble district just intime to hear the last slave die and the slamming of the main door as it was closed behind someone.

The forest started nearing grander and grander, Ivy's paws flattened the grass beneath her followed by the thumping footsteps of the girl. Breaching into the forest Angela appeared sliding to a halt before Ivy. Something was wrong with Angela her eyes shone with a frantic light deeply troubled. "What's wrong Angela?" Coming back to reality Angela looked up at Ivy her voice was worn out as if she had been screaming all day. "The den. It's in ruin. Destroyed," she took a moment to catch her breath. "And Ullr is gone, I can't find him anywhere!"
