A deep blue flame appeared out of thin air—no hand seals, no warning—and blasted forward with devastating force!

The Sand Shinobi's combined attacks were swallowed the moment they touched the flame. A violent shockwave burst outward from the collision, rattling the air.

The blue fire didn't fade.
In fact, it only burned hotter.
Brighter.
The dark sky above was instantly dyed blue, a flickering storm of pure, consuming flame.
In the blink of an eye, a roaring wall of fire surged forward like a crashing sea and swallowed all twenty-one Sand Shinobi whole.
Panic erupted.
"What the hell?!"
"One guy just overpowered all of us—?!"
"Who IS this golden-eyed freak?!"
But it was too late.
The wall of blue fire reached them before they had time to react, and in the blink of an eye—
BOOM!!!
The flames slammed down without mercy, engulfing everything.
The blast shattered rocks, scorched trees, and turned the area into a sea of flickering heat.
For a long time, the only sound was the crackle of dying fire and the soft patter of rain.
Eventually, the smoke began to clear.
Of the three Sand Anbu squads, most of the members were unconscious—burned, battered, completely overwhelmed.
The puppet that the captain had summoned was nothing but charred fragments.
And the captain himself—
Blood dripped from the corner of his mouth.
His eyes trembled as he stared at the black-cloaked figure floating in the air before him.
Still holding that damn umbrella.
Still smiling.
What just happened...?
Did he really start with a full-power move right out the gate?!
His thoughts reeled.
But before he could even recover—
The boy vanished from sight.
And reappeared right in front of him.
"!!!"
The captain's heart jumped. He tried to move—tried to lift his arm—but before he could—
CRACK!
Kuzo's foot landed squarely on his chest, driving him into the dirt with brutal force.
"Gah—AAARGH!!!"
A scream escaped him. The pain was instant and overwhelming.
Kuzo slowly leaned forward, umbrella still resting on his shoulder, and looked him straight in the eyes.
His golden pupils gleamed with amusement.
"Judging by the outfits," he said with a calm, almost curious tone, "you're Anbu, huh?"
"And your Fourth Kazekage—Rasa—he actually had the guts to make a move on Rain Shinobi?"
Kuzo tilted his head slightly, smile sharpening.
"Did he suddenly get tired of living?"
"—?!"
