Chapter 1 - my life before I died

Character Profile Before Death

Name: Josiah Mutuku

Age: 17

Height: 6'2 ½"

Weight: 207 pounds

Josiah was born into the world as a bright and charming kid, but he had a tough time dealing with ADHD, especially during middle school. He felt pretty awkward socially and was all over the place emotionally, which made school hard for him. After losing his dad in the spring of his 8th-grade year, everything changed for Josiah. That grief pushed him to want a fresh start, so he dedicated that summer to making real changes in his life.

He pretty much hit the gym six days a week, practiced his sports five days a week, focused on school four days a week, and took time each day to meditate and pray. As a freshman, his schedule was a mix of Math 2, English 2, Spanish 2, Engineering 1 Honors, and AP World History. That's where he met Skylar, the crush who quickly became a big deal in his life.

He joined the basketball team and found himself mostly on the bench, but when he got the chance to play, he showed his skills as a shooting guard. The same story played out in baseball, where he started as a second baseman and gradually earned more playing time. In September of his sophomore year, he started dating Skylar, a gorgeous junior with a radiant smile. Their first homecoming was full of laughter and fun, kicking off an amazing summer.

During this growth phase, his mom found love again with a cool aerospace engineer named Mark. Josiah was also surprised on his 16th birthday with a slick sports car, which made him feel unstoppable. That Christmas was a game-changer too when his mom married Mark, bringing him into a new family with two energetic stepsisters, Mary (13) and Layla (18), plus an all-in-one gadget loaded with smart glasses and a phone that could do it all.

As he settled in, Josiah earned starting spots on both the basketball and baseball teams, gaining recognition for his athletic performance. For Skylar's 17th birthday, he rented a fancy hotel suite and got front-row tickets to her favorite artist's concert, leading to a sweet intimate moment that marked a new phase in their relationship as they shared those experiences as a couple.

In his junior year, they both scored scholarships to MIT—Josiah's for his athletic talents while Skylar was considering taking a gap year. His 17th birthday was special as he moved to a cozy apartment in Boston and went on an exciting campus tour with Skylar, dreaming of their future together. For her 18th birthday, he surprised her with a brand-new car, and they celebrated their relationship with a strong bond.

By his senior year, Josiah became the star player on both his basketball and baseball teams while keeping up with schoolwork and a new job at Blazing Enterprises. Sadly, tragedy struck during a Halloween party when a gang carried out a drive-by shooting, causing chaos. In a heroic move, Josiah managed to save everyone, including Skylar, but he tragically succumbed to his injuries in the hospital, surrounded by friends and family. His funeral was held on what should have been his 18th birthday, marking a bittersweet farewell to a life that touched many.

In an unexpected twist, Josiah woke up in the presence of G.O.D., an all-powerful deity who reassured him that everyone he left behind would lead fulfilling lives. G.O.D. gave him an incredible choice: to be reincarnated in a world shaped by his imagination. Josiah decided to dive into a vibrant universe that mixed elements from Dragon Ball, DC, Marvel, and other beloved fictional worlds. Along with the promise of adventure, he was granted 17 wishes, including a body like Broly's that could grow and evolve, an all-purpose leveling system to boost his abilities, and an exact replica of Skylar, among other amazing desires.
