Maxwell turned and looked at her. She was beautiful and seductive. Ian would be a lucky man. His first wife, by coincidence, would be the same woman who lay with his father for the first time.
Maxwell held out his hand. And Genevieve approached.
"I'm not going to be your spare tire, Max. Wait for Anna to come back and do with her what she wants... And you too."
Maxwell wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her close to him, and unzipped the back of her dress.
"You're going to be whatever I want you to be, Genevieve." He said, and Genevieve's dress slipped to the floor.
Maxwell pulled away and stared into Genevieve's seductive eyes.
"But I think you're saving yourself for someone very special to me, and that's why... I'll never touch you."
Genevieve smiled.
"I always believed that Adam was very special to you, Master, and yet you stole his girl." Genevieve said, as she bent down, put her dress back on and left.
...
Anna had a bad taste after sucking for five minutes uninterruptedly from the cook's blood and when she removed her fangs, she realized that her eyes were glassy. She wasn't dead, but she wasn't alive either. She had turned into some kind of zombie. Anna remembered Maxwell saying something about burying the victim. But she also remembered him saying that she still had five years to feed on the woman.
Anna got up and went to the window. She could jump out of the window with the poor woman on her shoulders, but she feared that some prying eyes would catch her. She thought about leaving her there. And that's what she would do. She picked up her suitcase, which she hadn't unpacked, to jump out of the window, but a morbid curiosity made her look at the woman again and she realized that she had turned her eyes to look directly at her.
Anna dropped her suitcase on the floor and hid her face. She cried. She wanted to be strong, but she wasn't. She was a monster. She was a murderer. What was she doing with her life? Her children! How many days did she walk past them and completely ignore what they said to her? Why was she doing this to her family? Anna wiped her tears with the back of her hand and putting the cook on her shoulder, jumped out of the window and getting to her car, threw her in and drove back to the hotel. She went to reception, paid and left.
Anna's hearing was sensitive and she heard moaning. Figuring that some maid must be dating, she went to her room. When she opened the door, Maxwell was fucking Genevieve.
Anna dropped her suitcase on the floor and crossed her arms. Maxwell saw her, but continued thrusting his cock hard into Genevieve.
The moans she heard were theirs. She watched for almost thirty minutes, until Maxwell allowed Genevieve to run out of the room.
He smiled at Anna and put on his pants, leaving his shirt off.
"Your turn?" He asked debauchedly.
"Max... I cheat on you in a much more shameful way. I love Adam, and I just didn't run back to him, because my family is you and my children. And you are essential to me. But make no mistake. You didn't break my heart because I don't love you enough to care."
Maxwell cocked his head to one side, as Adam always did, and Anna frowned. It was so easy to get confused. They were so alike physically... But she knew it was Maxwell, because Adam didn't smile as easily as he did. When he was enjoying himself, she could only tell by reading and interpreting his eyes.
"And how do you feel about Genevieve?"
Anna didn't know what to say. He seemed to be playing a game with her and feared that some answer from her would make him kill Genevieve.
"Ah, Anna. You're the bravest, strongest vampire I've ever met."
"I don't understand, Max. What's going on here?"
"It's all an act. You're under the effect of my hypnosis. I release you, now."
Anna looked at Maxwell more steadily and realized in surprise that he was fully dressed. He wore an elegant black suit and expensive Italian shoes. Anna looked around and then turned to Maxwell.
"Genevieve?"
"She wasn't here. I heard you coming, Anna. I can hear your heart beating for up to a kilometer, if I want to... But I liked the way you saw me with her, maybe I'll do it later..."
Anna glared at him angrily and he smiled amusedly.
"Here's my Anna back. I love you anyway, but without feelings, you're a bit boring."
"Oh my God!" Anna shouted, putting her hands on her head. "My trip!"
"The ship isn't going anywhere without you, Anna. There's no need to worry."
"The children and... I was horrible to you! The things I said! The things I felt about your brother..."
"You love Adam, Anna. We must never forget that. You chose me because you have doubts about how you feel, and I was the safest, easiest, least complicated option. I accept that. I've always shared my toys with my younger brother, it's only fair that he owes you to me, but only in feelings, my love. I will never allow you to be with another man. You're mine for eternity... But you don't have much choice now..."
"You talk as if staying with you is a bad sentence."
"I hope it isn't, Anna. I'm going to dedicate my life to making you happy. To giving you everything you need."
Anna removed the ring with the green stone from her finger and looked at it for a while.
"This ring prevents my gifts from being released. You were controlling me the whole time..."
"No, Anna. That green stone is not something natural. It doesn't prevent you from using your gifts, it just helps you control them. You wouldn't want to go around turning men into frogs, or flying off on a broomstick, would you?"
