Chapter 34 - Doing the Everyday

In the forest both groups of two dropped their invisibility.

"Well let's finish our tea. I will go up to Fawkes. It seems she actually does want to speak to me. She will love these fruit nuts."

Shyla only sounded excited to the others as she spoke to Hazel. Hazel lightly tossed the plate of golden fruit nuts up and the Silver tray glided high up in into a tree. Not a single fruit nut dropped from the tray.

Hazel looked back to the others. They were all looking at her with questions in their eyes.

"She said we should all have tea."

They all sat down as one and sipped tea contemplatively. Rachel pulled sandwiches and small cakes from no where and they all tucked in.

"Are you going to Hogsmeade tomorrow Hazel?"

Ron had just stuffed a cake in his mouth and he was talking around it. Both Hazel and Hermione looked at him and then shook their heads as one. He between the too of them with confusion deep on his face "What!!?"

"No I think I am going to practice while everyone is out and Shyla wants to explore deeper into the forest around school. She sees something but she hasn't shared it with me yet."

"Something about the school or an individual." Hermione was suddenly worried and she looked between Harry and Hazel.

Hazel shrugged. "I have no clue. I think it is both. I have seen a terrible war." Hazel paused unable to speak for a moment. "Many will die."

She breathed deeply. "I think we need to help Neville's parents. We need as many allies as we can get. I think I have a new idea for a healing potion that will be able to heal the soul and the mind of damage. I need to work on it a bit more but it should be ready pretty soon."

Hermione's eyes went wide. "A healing potion for soul and mind? I would love to help with that"

Hazel nodded. "Harry, you Ron get Neville to agree to this and we should be all set."

Fawkes and Shyla both flew down each taking one of Hazel's shoulders. It was like looking at an odd yet brilliant piece of art. Fawkes with her flaming red and orange feathers on one shoulder and Shyla with pearlescent long white feathers on the other. And Hazel looking as if it was the most normal thing ever.

"Let's go check on the Hippogriffs and get back to the school."

"Do you need money for Hogsmeade?"

"Of course not mother."

"I really wish you needed your father and me more Haze." She paused and sighed. "Are you and Harry still not talking."

"I promise mom. We are fine. We are both a bit opinionated but other than that everything is perfect between us."

"Your father is of the same mind as you about this rogue Sirius. He came from such a good home." Hazel smiled. Her mother was a professional topic changer. "He believes we should help him."

"Help him how?"

"No. No young lady. I already know your temperament. I want to keep you out of this for as long as possible."

Hazel smiled and said nothing more.

Hazel sat across from a very nervous George in Madame Puddifoot's Tea Shop, Angelina Johnson was sitting next to Hazel and across from Fred. Hazel smiled at George.

'If this is making you too uncomfortable we can go somewhere else.'

'No Fred is right. If I want you to take our relationship seriously I have to take it seriously.'

Hazel frowned this was all Fred's idea? She denied the urge to look at either Fred or Angelina.

"I need to go to Dervish and Banges because I need to get something repaired for Shyla. Will you show me Zonko's after?"

Both Fred and George started at the mention of Zonko's.

"Let's finish our tea and we can all go." Angelina leaned in conspiratorially and the other three leaned in toward her. "I heard Zonko's has something new: a sneezing sweet chew. They say the person can't stop sneezing for days after they finish chewing the gum."

Both Fred and George beamed with big smiles.

"Hmm. Sounds like they used slumber sweet grass. When used in potions it is a sleep agent but if you dry it and make it into a powder it makes you sneeze. If you add the powder to food you can induce sneezing fits." Hazel frowned. "But I have never heard of a fit going on for days. They must be using an enhancer as well."

Fred and George were smiling oddly at each other. Hazel ignored them and took a sip of tea. Angelina shook her head with a smile and sipped her tea as well.

"You are having problems with a spatial item?"

"Yes. I do not have time to fix it myself and I am hoping you can do it."

"That sounds about right. What do you think is wrong with it."

"It is very old. I am thinking it is time to replace the loop stabilizers and the time arc bracket. I already made a bracket. I know those are hard to find." Hazel handed the two men a small rounded basket like piece. The men raised an eyebrow. This girl continued to surprise them.

They both nodded. "We will try to have it ready the next visiting day."

"Take your time. I built a new spatial shelf for her. But she will need this area back because it has all of her things in it and it's her home."

The two men nodded. "And how is that beautiful wand of yours?"

"Don't ask her that. Ask what you want to ask." Both men looked at her expectantly. Hazel rolled her eyes and a pile of items appeared on a table behind the men. They smiled appreciatively.

"Don't look at me like that just tell me there will be no charge for the repair of my spatial pendant."

"Of course there won't be a charge."

"You already knew that."

Hazel said nothing.

Zonko's Joke Shop was next on their list and Hazel almost laughed out loud as she watched the three others excitedly race back and forth through the store. Hazel even found something that interested her. She didn't like it because of what it did but because of how it was able to do what it did.

It was small firecracker that could be set off and everyone who saw it would see their own biggest fear that would almost instantly begin laughing at them once the person had been scared. It was a very intricate incantation for such a small object and she found herself buying ten so that she could research the item and understand how it was made.

She then bought everyone some of the new gum and George a trick hat that gave the wearer creepy or funny faces. The person put the hat on and simply said either creepy or funny in their minds and they would get a random face matching their request.

It was an expensive item and Hazel wanted to buy one for Fred as well, when she saw the look on his face, but she understood how this would hurt George so she decided on something else instead.

As they all stepped of Zonko's Hazel sighed. "I promised to meet everyone at Honeydukes and then we are going to go to the Three Broomsticks. Everyone coming?"

George smiled at her, shook his head, and gave her a kiss on her forehead. "Go spend time with your brother. You two need to stop this. We'll see you at the Three Broomsticks." She nodded.

"Okay. If you are sure. We will talk about some ideas I have for Joke items later. She hugged George and waved bye to the other two.

Honeydukes was crowded as usual. Hazel wanted some of their cherry cordials and chocolate peanut butter bursts. The bursts were chocolate bon-bons that shot an actual warm burst of peanut butter into your mouth when you bit into them. It was an oddly satisfying thing for a peanut butter lover.

She also wanted to get her mother and father their favorites. Butter beer mellows for her mom and sour bursts for her dad. She would send her dad his immediately he had been saying he ran out every time they talked. She rolled her eyes at the thought of his obvious hints.

She had bags of cordials and bursts when the others found her. She could see Harry beside Hermione and Ron. He was under their dad's cloak and could not be seen. She looked at Hermione.

"Did Harry say if he wanted anything? I got him some things from Zonko's."

"No he didn't say anything to me."

Hazel nodded. I will buy him a few things to try then. Do you mind taking them back to him for me please?"

"Of course not. What did you find at Zonko's?"

Hazel shrugged. "You know that place is crazy."

Hazel began describing her purchases as she noticed that her brother was standing very close to her. She frowned, a bit worried, but she said nothing. Just then Draco Malfoy entered the shop, saw Hazel, and began walking straight to her with a wide smile. She frowned, rolled her eyes, and then frowned again.
