Johan leaped up in the sky, dodging Radhaan's another instantaneous attack and instantly, he appeared behind Radhaan, his hand extending, trying to tear through Radhaan's heart.
The dodge was only possible because of Orihime's ability, who was panting hard. She had considerably slowed down Radhaan's almost invisible attack.
'He can control the electromagnetic field in an area, and use that field to transport his attacks on a different frequency… like how a paired Bluetooth device works. This spell can recognize my Aether signature, and "connect" with it.' Johan thought, analyzing Radhaan's recent attack.
Radhaan, sensing the danger, slowly turned around, and mockingly made eye contact with Johan, then easily evaded it with a small smile.
"Are you sane?" Radhaan genuinely asked, and the next second, Johan felt a leg—Radhaan's leg—make contact with his chest. But before it could shatter every bone, Orihime had teleported him back beside her.
Orihime also looked puzzled; she, in this spell zone, had a kind of mental connection with Johan, Olivia, and Sebastian, and could in a way read their intentions. Not Radhaan, as he didn't allow it—and it would require force to do this.
It was Johan's intention to try that cheap attack, which even a kid would know Radhaan could easily dodge due to his perception of time being slowed.
Even if this ability was nerfed because of being a clone, it could still dodge such a basic attack.
Johan just shook his head. He was simply trying to understand more about Radhaan's abilities, so he provided no more explanations.
Johan clenched his fist, and immediately, melted midnight-black Aether started manifesting around his body, slowly wrapping around his arms, legs, chest, torso, thighs, neck, and even face, only revealing a little bit of his eyes.
Ten-foot-long wings also appeared on his back, tightly attached to the full-body, slimy armor, spreading elegantly.
This was a kind of spirit dive with the God Tree that Melodis had taught him. Of course, the God Tree was not intentionally giving powers, so he was basically using the God Tree's abilities inside his body.
Suddenly, golden markings started manifesting on the black full-body armor and the wings, like they were sewing it all together. The different markings were weird numbers and letters all bent together, forming different patterns all around the black slime.
Another favor he had asked Velmire for—these letters and numbers weren't just there for no purpose. These were different kinds of buff seals
Velmire personally designed for Johan's form, and also programmed them to activate on their own when Johan entered this state.
Johan felt a kind of warmth inside his body as his stats almost doubled. Then, the seals he wanted to use also started activating at his mental command—[Ymir's Blessing], [Numbness], [Intrelude], [Phoenix's Light], [Queen's Wrath].
[Ymir's Blessing] was a holy spell that provided extreme clarity to the mind, but Johan needed it just to activate this spirit dive with the God Tree. He was in immediate contact with the God Tree's body, and even though the holy aura was canceled because of Melodis's own holy aura, the mental ravings would be enough to turn Johan into a vegetable.
With this, he wouldn't gain much clarity, but he'd at least stay sane. This was a necessary spell he needed every time he went into this mode.
[Numbness] was also necessary to activate the spirit dive. The melted slime all around his body was extremely violent in nature—it was like extremely hot melting wax tightly wrapped around every muscle. So hot, it made skin and bones melt, but due to his strong regeneration, this was negligible.
The only problem was the extreme pain. His skin, bones, even his penis and testicles—everything—was on fire, and that pain would definitely distract him from fighting Radhaan. That's why activating [Numbness] was essential.
[Intrelude] was a stage 0 buff spell that improved the natural speed of activating any kind of ability, releasing a spell, or even swinging a sword—to the absolute limit of the physical body.
Johan, in spirit dive form, could control and move fine due to Melodis being a good teacher. But to use the full capabilities of this body? That was still a faraway dream.
That's why a spell like this was a lifesaver. Johan's abilities—Defuse, Perfect Clone, Maskless Sin, etc.—all required a lot of time to properly use. Like with the rouge earlier, he needed to waste a lot of time, time he couldn't afford to sacrifice when fighting someone like Radhaan.
[Phoenix's Light] served a similar purpose. This was Johan's original spell that he helped Velmire make into a seal. The main use was to boost the body's natural regeneration—to close wounds, fix fatigue, etc.
In simple terms, it pulled out the full regenerative potential of the user's body. With Johan being the user, this was a game changer. Now even if his upper body was completely destroyed, he could still recover instantly.
[Queen's Wrath] was a stage 1 buff spell that doubled the attack's strength upon successful contact with the victim's body. That is, it would only activate when the sword was close to the neck, then the strength of the strike would double—cutting with twice the speed.
This spell was extremely popular among Crimson Empire knights who fought mana beasts and different monsters most of the time due to the peaceful state of their Empire.
Monsters were arrogant. Just to mock the attacker, they would let themselves fall into obvious traps, and if the strength of the attack suddenly doubled, it would conflict with their original calculations—leading to a worse situation for them.
Knowing Radhaan, this spell could prove extremely useful.
Johan grinned, staring back at Radhaan, who was curiously looking at him, and instantly, each and every rouge died—butchered to hundreds of pieces, their flesh and blood falling everywhere.
Radhaan's eyes widened to the limit. Orihime hadn't used any ability to kill them, or even teleport Johan or Olivia who were slaying the rouges.
Radhaan's eyes finally settled on the still-standing Johan. He hadn't moved at all. Then how?
Radhaan's pupils dilated to the limit. '…O-or, was I incapable of seeing when he had moved?'
"Close enough, but no, I just momentarily paused time." Johan, guessing Radhaan's thoughts, said nonchalantly, as if commenting on the weather.
"Let's fight, Radhaan! The strongest man vs… the weakest Divine General, both in the Aurelian Empire's history." Johan chuckled, as Radhaan's face darkened.
A.N.= So, I overslept, last night I hit diamond in Marvel rivals, so I slept at 7 a.m. then woke up at 6:40 p.m.
To tell you the true horror of this bad decision, if I didn't upload the chapter in next 1 hour, I would lose a lot of benefits. Yes, this chapter was written in 30 minutes, yes I see how awesome I am, even with the time limit, I still manage to cook.
Remember, Puff Daddy never misses! I am gonna publish multiple chapters everyday, like 2-4 everyday, let's see how my book performs then.
