(Reality)
Flute'agon had offered Calguas a glimpse of the impending catastrophe but had withheld the details of how Tassa and Suman had managed to prevent it. However, he did reveal that it had been Quart's original plan to lock her memory, in an attempt to avert the disaster. Calguas now understood Quart's brilliance and trusted her decisions, except when it came to matters involving Ixartxist.
"So, does that mean you cannot unlock her memory for Céline and Nia'le?" Calguas inquired, seeking a glimmer of hope.
Flute'agon sat down, his expression pensive. "I would, if I could. But it is not me whom you should ask. It is Quart."
"Quart? But why Quart? Why can't you undo it?" Calguas pressed for answers.
Flute'agon sighed softly. "You know what they say: the mind can forget, but the heart cannot. I locked Quart's mind concerning Nia'le and Céline, but I did not lock her heart. The possibility of Quart losing all her memories about them forever lies in her hands. Retrieving her memories about them is also her decision to make. However, if Quart does not remember them again, she will surely lose those memories forever, and there is no retrieving them."
In that moment, Calguas realized what he needed to do. Without hesitation, he activated a spell and teleported to Nia'le's whereabouts. Determined to bring him back, Calguas planned to use his magic to revive him. However, Flute'agon intervened, stopping him in his tracks. He gently placed a hand on Calguas' shoulder, his eyes filled with understanding.
"You are not allowed to do such a thing," Flute'agon stated firmly. Calguas looked down, his hands trembling with a mixture of desperation and determination. He replied, his voice filled with a sense of resignation, "I don't have any other option."
Flute'agon smiled kindly at Calguas, recognizing the turmoil within him. "The 'I would, if I could' seems to be our motto, isn't it, Calguas? There are so many things we want to do, but we can't, bound by our tasks and our emotions. Right now, you are willing to commit a sin solely because of your feelings. Our strengths and powers may be advantageous, but both humans and celestial beings are driven by strong emotions that we long to follow."
"Are you telling me that Lucille and his gang are just like me?" Calguas questioned, his voice tinged with bitterness.
"Well, we were once brothers—" Flute'agon began.
"Once. Just once," Calguas interrupted, his voice filled without longing and regret.
"You are as cold as your eyes, Calguas," Flute'agon remarked, his tone tinged with sadness. "Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that while I understand you can't do it, we know someone who can. Perhaps an errand demon, one who will listen to you and be willing to do anything for you. You understand what I mean, don't you?"
Flute'agon winked and smiled mischievously, referring to Vilyn, who had always been docile toward him for reasons unknown. Calguas' eyes widened in surprise, realizing that Flute'agon knew so much about him. "How did you know about her?" Calguas asked, his curiosity piqued.
Flute'agon turned away, his gaze fixed on the distance. "Well, I am an Aginer, after all. Don't worry, while I may know what you have done and what you will do, I still don't know the intricacies of human emotions. But someone does, and that is why his judgment is always right."
"Flute—" Calguas began, wanting to express his gratitude.
"Well, I must be going before she barges in here. Good luck, angel of 'whatever-ness.' I truly hope you succeed. Bye-bye," Flute'agon said, returning to his place and leaving Calguas behind. As he departed, a volcano erupted, prompting Calguas to call upon Suman's assistance in helping the people living near the affected area.
"That idiot," Calguas muttered, realizing that Flute'agon had made a mistake by briefly leaving Qiasjolque, which was not supposed to happen.
Afterward, Calguas contacted Vilyn and arranged a meeting with her. He still couldn't believe that Nia'le and Céline were gone. Though he had once wished for them to be separated, he now felt a profound sadness at the tragic turn of events and the brevity of their time together.
"What would it take to see the three of them together again, just as they were before?" Calguas pondered, his voice heavy with sorrow.
After Vilyn received the call from Calguas, her heart skipped a beat. The anticipation of their meeting sent a rush of excitement through her veins. Determined to make a lasting impression, she swiftly made her way to the bathroom, a sense of purpose guiding her every move. As she stood before the mirror, she meticulously prepared herself, wanting to look her absolute best.
Vilyn was never one to rely heavily on cosmetics, preferring a more natural look. However, she knew that today called for a touch of elegance. With a delicate hand, she applied a hint of red lip balm, allowing her lips to exude a subtle allure. Her eyes, framed by long lashes, were accentuated with a precise stroke of black eyeliner, adding a touch of mystery to her gaze.
Her long, lustrous brunette hair cascaded down her back, reaching for the heavens. Today, she decided to transform her locks into two high ponytails, creating a playful yet sophisticated hairstyle. Leaving her beautiful bangs to frame her face, she carefully tied the rest of her hair, intertwining strands with a practiced grace. The result was a mesmerizing blend of neatness and complexity, a true reflection of her multifaceted personality.
With her hair perfectly arranged, Vilyn turned her attention to her attire. She selected a charming dolly outfit, adorned with delicate lace and intricate embroidery. The dress hugged her figure in all the right places, accentuating her youthful charm. It was a choice that aimed to captivate Calguas, to make him see her as more than just a child playing dress-up.
Completing her ensemble, Vilyn slipped into a pair of black tied boots, a luxurious gift from Suman on her 18th birthday. The boots, worth a fortune, added a touch of sophistication to her overall look. As she glanced at herself in the mirror, she couldn't help but feel a surge of confidence. Her outfit, hairstyle, and makeup were perfectly aligned, creating an image that exuded both seduction and elegance.
Feeling satisfied with her appearance, Vilyn descended the stairs, ready to face the world. But as she reached the living room, a sense of disappointment washed over her. Suman, her foster father, remained engrossed in his book, seemingly oblivious to her transformation. A pang of sadness settled in her heart, longing for his acknowledgment and approval.
Suman, counting the seconds in his head, expected Vilyn to express her frustration. However, to his surprise, she silently sat on the couch, her eyes filled with a hint of melancholy. The book slipped from his grasp as he observed her, his gaze filled with curiosity and concern. Vilyn's fingers toyed with her hair, a nervous habit she couldn't suppress, as she avoided his gaze.
Unable to bear the tension any longer, Suman closed his book and placed it gently on the table. Crossing his legs, he leaned back, resting his arms on the couch. With a gentle touch, he lifted Vilyn's chin, urging her to face him. The blush that adorned her cheeks only intensified as their eyes met. In that moment, she felt a mixture of embarrassment and vulnerability, causing her to instinctively rise from her seat. But Suman's firm grip on her hand stopped her in her tracks, urging her to stay.
"Aren't you supposed to ask me something?" Suman's voice was filled with warmth and concern. "Is there something bothering you, my child?"
A genuine smile spread across Vilyn's face as she looked into Suman's eyes. It was a smile that held secrets and unspoken emotions, a smile that only Suman had the power to evoke. With a sense of contentment, she softly replied, "It doesn't matter."
Those three simple words struck a chord within Suman's heart. They reminded him of the first time he laid eyes on Vilyn, of the unconditional love he felt for her. And now, as he witnessed that familiar smile, his emotions threatened to overwhelm him. Pulling her into his embrace, he held her tightly, silently promising to protect her from all harm.
"No more hiding from me, understood?" Suman's voice was filled with a mixture of tenderness and determination.
Vilyn nodded, her voice barely a whisper. "I promise I won't."
With a gentle pat on her back, Suman encouraged her to go on her date. "Hurry up and go to your date," he said, a hint of pride in his voice.
Vilyn's smile widened, radiating pure happiness. She gave Suman a grateful nod before rushing out the door, her heart filled with anticipation and excitement. As she made her way to the rendezvous, she couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of confidence, knowing that she had Suman's unwavering support.
But instead of being happy, she suddenly felt disappointed to the lace that Calguas's choose for their date. She was standing leaning on the tree while waiting for Calguas, when she suddenly saw a huge shadow coming near to her. She squinted her eyes trying to see what's the thing that's getting closer and when she realized that a huge troop of mosquitoes, she immediately flew up in the sky. But the mosquitoes were still following her that's why she flew towards the water, but it was still following her. Instead of being afraid, she felt mad at it, that's why she faced it and use a spell to pulverised every one of it. She looked at it as it fell on the deep ocean and she was just floating looking at it. When suddenly a huge shark suddenly appeared and wanted to eat her. She teleported herself back to the land looking so frustrated to the place.
"Heck what is this? First a mobs of mosquitoes, and now a hungry shark?" Vilyn exclaimed.
"She's here?" A being said.
Calguas was not shocked when he heard it and replied, "I know that she's here."
"What are you planning to do?"
"What I need to do to save Quart. I will do everything I can to save her."
"But it's her who doesn't want to be saved."
Calguas knew the being was right, but he didn't have a chance to admit he was wrong because the being suddenly evaporated in front of him.
"Where is he? And what is this place? There are so many mosquitoes in here—how irritating," Vilyn said annoyed. Then she cast a spell to kill all the insects near her and said, "My blood and Ixartxist are one, and I will not let you drink it, you little vampire insect!"
Vilyn was disappointed because Calguas wasn't there yet. A few minutes later, Calguas called her and asked where she was. She answered and told him that she was in the place where he wanted her to be.
Calguas told her to follow his energy but not to teleport herself to him to test her honesty. As obedient as always, Vilyn did what he said: she followed Calguas's released energy and didn't teleport.
"I'm here. Well, it's not the place where I wanted to be. Oh, never mind."
Calguas felt at ease seeing how obedient she was to him.
Vilyn's heart soared as she finally reached Calguas, unable to contain her joy any longer. She eagerly embraced him, whispering, "I've missed you, my love. I'm so grateful that you wanted to meet with me. Although I must admit, this unpredictable place you've chosen is quite bizarre." Calguas simply looked at her, his expression filled with confusion. Sensing his bewilderment, Vilyn quickly dismissed her comment, saying, "Oh, never mind. Let's just enjoy our time together."
With a mischievous glimmer in her eyes, Vilyn began to unbutton her clothes, intending to take their connection to a more intimate level. However, Calguas abruptly halted her, his voice filled with a mix of surprise and concern. "Vilyn, please don't misunderstand. I didn't invite you here for a romantic encounter. I called you because I need to ask you a favor." Vilyn's eyes sparkled with anticipation as she gazed at Calguas, her love for him evident in every fiber of her being. "I would do anything for you, my beloved. Just tell me what you need," she declared with unwavering devotion.
Calguas, still trying to comprehend Vilyn's unique way of thinking, couldn't help but feel a sense of confusion. He pondered the depth of her commitment to him, questioning why she would be willing to go to such lengths. While he couldn't deny the sincerity of her feelings, he couldn't fully grasp her perspective. "I still can't fathom the workings of her mind," he thought to himself. "And why is she so willing to do everything for me? Well, it's not necessarily a bad thing, but is she a bit eccentric?"
Meeting his gaze, Vilyn sensed his inner turmoil and gently asked, "Is something bothering you, my love?" Calguas, momentarily lost for words, simply walked past her, urging her to button her clothes and follow him. With a sweet smile, Vilyn acquiesced, replying, "I will follow you, mon amour," using the French term of endearment.
They found themselves standing at the spot where Nia'le's lifeless body had been laid to rest. Calguas took hold of Vilyn's hand, his voice filled with a mixture of urgency and vulnerability. "Vilyn, I need you to perform a spell for me. Can you do it?" Vilyn's brows furrowed in confusion, but her unwavering loyalty pushed her to agree. "Of course, my love. What kind of spell do you need me to perform? Shall I recite the English word—"
Calguas interrupted her, his frustration evident in his tone. "Not that kind of spell! I mean a magical spell, for heaven's sake!" Annoyed, he walked away, muttering, "Wait for me here. I just need to relieve myself." Calguas left Vilyn momentarily, contemplating the complexities of their relationship. "Seriously, what is she? She's undeniably adorable, but oh, so exasperating!"
Vilyn, feeling a sense of self-doubt, sat down and berated herself for her misunderstanding. "Did he get annoyed because of me? How foolish am I? I thought he wanted one kind of spell, but it turned out to be something completely different. Never mind that, Vilyn, you're such a fool." As she shifted her weight, she accidentally lost her balance and tumbled over, rolling into the nearby swamp. Her clothes became drenched in muddy water, and she herself was covered in filth. Frustrated, she exclaimed, "This is utterly ridiculous! How am I supposed to face my date like this? This place is incredibly vexing!"
To her horror, a multitude of alligators suddenly surrounded her, closing in on their potential prey. In a moment of sheer terror, Vilyn let out a piercing scream that startled the birds into flight. Hearing her distress, Calguas hurried back to the scene, only to find Vilyn nowhere in sight. She screamed again, guiding Calguas towards the swamp. There, he discovered Vilyn sitting amidst the dead alligators, holding her phone in her hand. "What happened here, Vilyn?" Calguas inquired, concern etched on his face. Vilyn replied, displaying her broken necklace with a pendant made of blood-red glass. "They surrounded me, ready to devour me. One foolish alligator stepped on my precious necklace, shattering it. Look!" she exclaimed, showing him the shattered glass pendant. Calguas questioned her, "And that's why you killed them all?"
Standing tall, Vilyn responded, "Would they have spared me if I had beckoned them? No, they chose the wrong prey. It's their own fault." Vilyn gazed at Calguas, extending her hand towards him. Calguas took hold of her hand and pulled her up, remarking, "You subdued them all. It's more than I anticipated." A smile graced Calguas's lips as Vilyn embraced him, declaring, "I love you, Calguas. Let's get married or elope, what do you choose, Cal-gu-as?" Calguas replied, "Neither, but come on, Vilyn. We need to hurry." Vilyn followed him as they made their way out of the swamp, heading towards the place where Flute had buried Nia'le's body.
Curiosity piqued, Vilyn sweetly asked, "What are we doing here, honey?" Calguas turned to her, his voice filled with purpose, and said, "Vilyn, I need you to use your magic to revive the person buried beneath this ground. I know you have the power to do it." Confusion clouded Vilyn's mind as she questioned Calguas, "I don't understand, Calguas. You're a demon too, so why are you asking me for a favor that you could easily fulfill yourself?" Panic gripped Calguas, fearing that his secret would be exposed. The weight of Vilyn's serious gaze intensified his anxiety. However, to his relief, Vilyn simply smiled and said, "Ah, I see. Perhaps you wanted me to feel useful to you, even if you could accomplish it on your own. You're so sweet, àirén."
Vilyn embraced him once more, unaware of the turmoil Calguas had experienced. "What on earth is with this girl? But I'm fortunate that she didn't suspect a thing," Calguas thought to himself, finally able to exhale a sigh of relief. Vilyn proceeded to chant the spell to revive Nia'le, her voice resonating with power. As she uttered the incantation, the sand beneath them began to rise, taking the form of a human body. Nia'le's soul, guided by an unseen force, entered the newly formed vessel. With a gasp, Nia'le regained consciousness, bewildered by his surroundings. "Where am I? What is happening? And who are you?" he asked, his voice filled with confusion. Calguas draped his cloak over Nia'le's shoulders and warmly greeted him, saying, "Welcome back, Nia'le."
