Seated on a row of uncomfortable chairs, Giana, Shigeo, Scott, Saya, and Mina faced the white-robed colossus who stood with his back to them : Archon Thymeris.
His tall, rigid figure loomed before the panoramic window, casting a suffocating tension over the room.
Not a word.
Then, with a slow, icy sigh, the Headmaster finally turned around.
— "Well then… Is anyone here going to explain to me why five students snuck out in the middle of the night, broke curfew, disabled campus security, damaged Academy property, and caused a power surge across several buildings?"
Silence.
Even Scott — usually the first to crack a joke — kept his eyes down like a scolded puppy.
Thymeris's piercing gaze landed on Giana.
— "You, Miss Giana Harth. Third year grade. A student meant to set an example to your juniors. Apparently, grade doesn't guarantee wisdom."
Giana clenched her fists.
She hated being talked down to like a child.
But… he wasn't wrong.
