Xavier stepped forward and jerked Stella towards him, "Stella, apologize to Miss Fuller, now."
With one hand on the back of Stella's head, he pushed her head down forcefully as a gesture of apology to Zoey as he whispered into her ears at the same time, "Mr. Yancey is here, so stop your nonsense. We're all screwed if he gets angry."
Xavier was annoyed with Stella. He thought she was really stupid to bring up his past relationship with Zoey when she jolly well knew that Zoey was on good terms with Leo. In Xavier's mind, Stella was just as stupid as her mother.
Stella had been living a good, easy life, with everyone giving in to her for the past few years. This was the first time in years that she had to swallow her pride.
