Penny skillfully stuffed some loose change and cards from the office desk down her top, then picked up a small safe from under the desk. Judging by her practiced movements, it was clear this wasn't her first time doing this.
"Let's go."
Before leaving, Penny didn't forget to spit on her boss.
As they left the office, three security guards who had heard the gunshot came over to check things out. "Stop them!" the bar owner yelled from behind, his voice hoarse and cracking.
Watching the three burly, muscular guys walk towards them, Penny swallowed nervously. "Handsome, what do we do?"
"Nothing much. You stay here, I'll be right back." With that, Roy walked towards the three security guards.
The first guard grinned menacingly and swung a punch at Roy, but Roy easily dodged it with a V-shaped sway. Immediately following up with a lightning-fast uppercut, sending the guard into dreamland.
The second guard tried to grab Roy in a hold, but Roy perfectly dodged by ducking. Then, Roy landed a solid liver shot, and the guy immediately dropped to his knees and started throwing up.
The third guard sensed that things weren't right and tried to pull out a gun to threaten Roy. Unfortunately for him, Roy quickly slid forward and rushed at the guard. And that was the end of that – this guard also joined the first one in slumberland.
Finally, Roy landed another punch on the second guard's chin, sending him to join the other two, completely ending the fight. The whole thing took less than 10 seconds.
"No one can stop us now!" Roy winked at Penny, and she started looking at him with a dreamy expression.
"Handsome, you're amazing!"
"I'd prefer to hear you say that in a different setting!"
Penny bit her bright red lip, her eyes getting watery. "I think there will be an opportunity!"
The two of them rushed out of the strip club and directly got into Roy's used yellow Chevrolet Camaro, driving away to escape.
After leaving town, Penny took out Roy's credit card and handed it to him. "Sorry, handsome, I stole your credit card."
Roy took the credit card and smiled. He always had more tolerance for beautiful women, especially since she was a special character. "It's okay, I forgive you."
Penny was very touched and suddenly cupped Roy's face and kissed him. Roy was driving and got startled by Penny's surprise attack, quickly hitting the brakes.
The two of them engaged in a heated exchange in the car; you could even call it a battle of words. After a while, Penny released Roy, panting slightly.
"Handsome, can you tell me your name?"
"Roy Black, and you?" Actually, Roy already knew her name, but he asked anyway, just to follow the usual procedure.
"Penelope Brown, but you can call me Penny. Roy, can I come with you?"
"Of course, no problem!" Roy restarted the Chevrolet Camaro and started driving in the direction of Falls Town.
According to the GPS, there were basically no gas stations on the next stretch of road, only a motel that also sold gas. Roy decided to take Penny to this motel for the night to avoid driving while tired and causing an accident.
On the way, Roy suddenly saw a middle-aged man wearing white clothes and a red triangular scarf standing in the middle of the road, trying to flag down cars. So he slowly stopped. "Hey, mister, is everything alright?"
The middle-aged man's eyes lit up noticeably when he saw the curvy Penny in Roy's passenger seat. Well, Penny had forgotten to bring her coat when she fled the bar in a hurry, so she was currently wearing Roy's jacket on her upper body, with her, shall we say, final layer of clothing still on her lower half.
"Excuse me, my car broke down. Could you possibly give me a ride? My place is just a little further ahead!"
Roy looked at the middle-aged man and felt that he had a sinister vibe, like he wasn't a good person. Penny put her hand on Roy's arm and shook her head slightly at him. Coming from a rough background, Penny had a very strong sense of caution, and she also felt that there was something off about this man.
However, Roy was skilled and bold. He patted Penny's thigh to reassure her. "Get in. Hopefully, your place is right on our way." The middle-aged man smiled and got into the car.
"You can rest assured about that. There's only one road ahead." Roy felt like the middle-aged man's words had a double meaning, so he tentatively asked, "What should we call you?"
"You can call me Kevin." Roy started the car and continued driving down the highway.
Because there was another person in the car, Penny became noticeably more reserved, and the atmosphere in the car became a bit quiet.
After driving for a while, Kevin suddenly spoke up. "It's a bit boring, wouldn't you like to hear a story?" Roy glanced at Kevin through the rearview mirror. He had a rather mystical expression on his face. "Go ahead," Roy said.
"My grandfather used to be a foreman in a mine. Back then, they often used convicts as miners. One day, the mine suddenly collapsed, and my grandfather and all those miners were trapped inside. In the end, my grandfather survived by eating the internal organs of the convict miners."
Hearing this story, Penny felt a bit scared, and Roy also frowned. Telling this kind of story late at night was just bad luck, wasn't it? "What are you trying to say?"
Kevin smiled mysteriously, not answering Roy directly, but instead pointing ahead. "We're here."
It was then that Roy noticed a motel on the side of the road ahead. "This motel is your place?"
"Yes, I'm the owner of this motel." Roy raised an eyebrow, feeling like all of this was a bit too coincidental. "What a coincidence! So, could you give us a discount on the room?"
Roy looked at Kevin calmly, wanting to see his reaction. Kevin still had that mysterious smile on his face, like a charlatan. "Of course, no problem. I can waive your room fee. You can stay as long as you like."
Something's wrong! Roy slowly drove the car into the motel parking lot. He noticed that there seemed to be other guests at the motel. There was a tow truck and a small car in the parking lot.
Kevin first took Roy and Penny to check in, then made a suggestion. "It's still early. Would you like to have a drink before resting?"
Penny gently bit her lip and looked at Roy with a longing gaze. It was clear that Penny didn't want to waste a beautiful night.
Roy understood what Penny meant and declined Kevin's offer. "Sorry, we're both a bit tired. Maybe we'll have a drink next time." With that, Roy took the room key from Kevin and put his arm around Penny's shoulder as they walked towards the room.
"Roy, are you really 21?"
"Actually, I'm only 18, still a senior in high school."
"You're such a bad student! Going to a bar at 18!" Penny pushed Roy onto the bed. "Well, Professor Penny, could you maybe tutor me in a little health class?"
