Chapter 90 - Meeting her again

Adam sighed, closing the door behind him with a heavy heart. As he lowered his gaze toward the floor, a strange sensation pressed into his back. Sharp. Instinctively, he turned around—There she was.

She stood there silently, holding a knife. Not just any knife, but a black one with striped markings running along its blade. Without hesitation, she drove it into his stomach.

I cough up bloodied"...Seriously?"

[Damage: 20 | Rolling 1–10... Luck][20 × 3... Total Damage: 60]

"What the duck!" Adam shouted, staggering back. "Why did you do that, you fricking monster!" With sudden fury, he shoved her hard. She stumbled and fell to the ground with a dull thud.

Manori: "I guess it's bad luck."

Adam clenched his teeth. He was reaching his breaking point. The damage was severe—enough to make him gasp in pain—but not fatal. Not here. Not in this strange world. He had grown accustomed to the state of dying... but it still hurt like hell.

Snarling, he rushed toward her. As she lay there, this psychopathic girl, shielding her head with blank, distant eyes, he began hitting her—over and over again.

Even as she tried to crawl away, he continued, punching her head with all the frustration bottled up inside him.

Manori: "Please... stop... it was a habit..."She curled up, arms weakly trying to shield herself, attempting to rise as Adam's blows rained down.

Then, finally, Adam stepped back. He ran his fingers through his hair, exasperated, his breath ragged."You don't just stab people in the stomach like that..." he muttered. A deep sigh escaped him.Was there a reason? Something deeper? Was it because he had tried to hide?

"Why?" he asked, his voice quieter.

Manori: "I thought you were an enemy."

Adam stared at her in disbelief."Don't you know me? I mean... of course you don't. But we met—back in your room. That safe space, or whatever you called it."

Manori looked up, her expression unreadable as she searched her thoughts."I don't remember. And i dont know you..."

Of course. Just my luck, Adam thought bitterly. I'm stuck with this weird person.

He pulled out a letter and handed it to her. "Here. I'm supposed to give you this." He let out another breath, worn out from both pain and confusion.

She took the letter in silence, her eyes blankly scanning the page. Slowly, her irises deepened to a shade of dark brown. She stared at the words, unmoving.

"What's this?" she asked.

Adam: "I don't know. The guy from the timeout room wanted me to give it to you. Minori... you know him?" She just stares at me... As adam frowned. Why didn't she seem to recognize that name? "Your gonna drill on my forehead if you continue to do that"

She looked at him like he was some kind of alien. Without a word, she turned, walked to the balcony, and let the letter slip from her hand. It fluttered through the air before being carried off by the wind.

Adam:Great...

Minori: "I don't know what that is."

So she doesn't know Minori? But why would Minori send a letter to someone he didn't know?Adam's head throbbed with confusion. Still, she had read it—or at least seen it. That was enough. His task, at least, was done.

A quiet, awkward silence fell between them. Time passed. The sun finally began to shine down upon the town, painting golden light across its empty streets..

"What's your purpose, anyway?" Adam finally asked, breaking the silence. "Leaving that room? Exploring?"

Manori: "To experience something... I don't know. Or to find something."

If Adam had a nickel for every time he met someone completely incoherent and odd... he'd have one. One single nickel. But somehow, that was still one too many.

Just listening to her was exhausting. Like trying to translate a LSD while in a."Well... see yah, I guess," he muttered, waving her off.

As he turned away, he glanced over his shoulder repeatedly—just in case she tried stabbing him again.

"And close the fricking knife!" he shouted.

She silently sheathed it and remained standing, watching him retreat.

Then, she followed.

Adam: "What are you doing?"

Manori: "Following... I just don't know you. And I don't want to experience it."

If Adam had an expression right now, it would be his fist pressed under his chin, eyes closed in absolute disbelief, breathing deeply to stay calm.

Is this girl illiterate or something?

He walked. She followed. He went down the stairs. She stayed on his trail. He darted through the empty town, trying to shake her off. But it was no use—she always found him, like knowing this place on the back of her head. Finally, with a long, defeated sigh, he gave up.

"Fine... Do you know this place?"

Manori: Its my first time being in this world
