Penny's eyes flew open, heart fluttering in surprise. Her vision focused on the man crouched beside her, his tongue was halfway to her cheek.
"Mr. Osvaldo!" she gasped, jerking upright.
"Good morning, Penguin," Osvaldo said with a boyish smile, pulling back with unrepentant ease. He lay beside her now, his hair tousled and a gleam in his eyes.
"I've been trying to wake you up for ages," he said gently, as though licking someone's face was the most normal thing in the world.
"By licking my face?" Penny wiped her cheeks with the back of her hand, half-horrified, half-flustered. "Are you a dog now?"
He chuckled, soft and sinful. "You're sweet, Penguin. Sweet to taste, sweet to touch. Why wouldn't I lick you awake?"
