Chapter 256 - 255

"Why are only you two here? Where are Flappy and Spider Queen?" The Death Knight looked like he had a splitting headache. Looking at these two idiots, he was furious.

"Clang!" An Iron Golem fell from the brawny man. Seeing the Aura of Death emanating from the Death Knight, it immediately launched a Knockback!

"Boom!" The Death Knight didn't even register the attack. Although this iron fellow seemed stronger than he'd anticipated, how could his body possibly be knocked back by these trinkets... knocked back...

"Hiss..." Fang Bie clicked his tongue from the side. This posture of slamming his head into the cavern ceiling just looked painful.

It had been said before that the Iron Golem's Knockback was a Rule-based forced restriction, unrelated to strength. Fang Bie suspected that any Character below the Great Principle Golden Immortal would inevitably suffer the Outcome of being knocked back.

The two brawny men, let's tentatively call them Big Fellow and Second Fellow, scratched their heads, already disproportionately small compared to their bodies, and wondered if their boss had suddenly called for them for any particular reason.

Several Iron Golems scrambled down from them and began fighting amongst themselves on the Platform, completely disregarding the people around them and the surrounding Situation.

"Well, these two brawny men without brains and the Iron Golems who literally have no brains, what a perfect match!" Fang Bie muttered to himself.

He could see now that this undead knight, who had been spouting threats, was not as powerful as they had imagined, and might even be weaker.

His previous words were more of a bluff, hoping to exploit openings that might appear in the two of them and then defeat them one by one.

However, both Fang Bie and Ye Fan were as steady as defense towers, giving him no Opportunity at all.

Having exhausted his tricks, he could only pin his hopes on his subordinates to buy him Time, but he never expected that the two most useful ones hadn't been summoned, and instead he'd called over two completely useless Fellows.

Fang Bie glanced sideways and spotted the scythe stuck in the Ground. Above them, in the cavern, the undead knight was almost free from his entrapment. Although he no longer had a head, he could still keenly sense their Location.

"Rise!" The ice-blue Crystal in Fang Bie's hand powerfully hovered beside the scythe, drawing out the Aura of Death within while simultaneously emitting an extremely cold Qi, freezing it in place.

"Bang!" The Death Knight finally fell from the High Sky, landing in this Open Area. His head, which had been sacrificed, gradually reformed from a few tattered Bones, forcibly bound to the top of his body, allowing him to speak again.

The Sound of these bone fragments grinding together was extremely grating, accompanied by the ghostly green Bone Spirit Fire behind them, making him look particularly terrifying!

But both of them understood the opponent's Abilities. He wasn't as powerful as he claimed. After losing the scythe, the Power Aura he emitted was only slightly stronger than theirs, lacking the almost invincible Feeling from just now.

"So, when you came to find me again, you had already killed my servants. No wonder!" He ignored the scythe that had fallen to the Ground, as if he had never possessed this Weapon. The Flames in his hands kept changing, drawing out two massive knightly broadswords.

"I will use Flame to send you to your graves, and use this World to sacrifice for the Legion's arrival!" His voice gradually became lofty and ethereal, spreading far and wide.

But Fang Bie was somewhat astonished to find that the other party genuinely didn't realize he was missing something. The scythe was clearly not far behind him, and the Flames emanating from him were almost touching a Horn of the scythe, yet he still seemed to ignore it, stepping right past it.

"Ye Fan, do you see that scythe?" Fang Bie asked, "The one he was just holding in his hand?"

"Scythe? What scythe? Wasn't he just fighting us empty-handed?" Ye Fan, Weapon in hand, was on high alert, but still answered his question.

Fang Bie instantly felt a bone-chilling coldness surge through him. This seemingly normal World was suddenly shrouded in a huge Shadow.

He had only experienced this kind of coldness once before, a long Time ago. It was Gu Yi, using the Power of Time to distort the perception of everyone around him except himself. That was also the first Time he had truly witnessed just how terrifying the Supreme Mage actually was.

But today, Fang Bie once again felt this kind of Situation that made him feel utterly powerless. Right now, right here, right before his very eyes, this scythe had even appeared in front of them for a long Time, and yet, except for himself, everyone else had lost all perception of this scythe.

"Hah!" The Death Knight finally completed his preparations. The raging Flames that had been burning on him finally dissipated completely.

His Aura kept rising, seemingly about to break through his current Cultivation Realm and reach another level, but it was always just short of that final step.

Fang Bie also immediately felt an enormous Pressure emanating from the opponent. His Head had been completely restored in the Flame, and the dark Aura of Death on his Body had long since receded, replaced by a massive Flame Qi belonging to magma.

"Your Lives will be the best congratulatory gift for my rule over this World!" After his Head was restored, and as these Flames rose again, it felt like his already limited Intelligence had suddenly become even scarcer.

Fang Bie even felt a strong sense of intellectual superiority emanating from himself. In an instant, the two of them flew off the Platform. Pillars of Flame erupted from beneath them, covering the entire Platform, skewering the Iron Golems and directly destroying Big Fellow and Second Fellow.

"I dodge!" Fang Bie easily dodged the knight's broadsword thrown by the opponent. Ye Fan also evaded the other one simultaneously.

As if telepathically linked, they each drew a Sword, blocking the Weapons to prevent them from flying back.

The Death Knight instantly became enraged, standing on the Platform below, his Figure growing larger, letting out a deafening roar.

"He doesn't seem to be able to fly?" Fang Bie finally discovered his greatest weakness. No wonder he had summoned his subordinates to help him fight. He must have sensed that things were going badly when he realized they could fly.

"Clang!" Ye Fan was no benevolent soul. He suddenly vanished into the Air, and when he reappeared, he was swinging his Cauldron, slamming it hard against the back of the opponent's Head.

"Does that Sound good?" Fang Bie's Figure also suddenly appeared in the Air. Seeing the opponent stunned, he pierced through his Body with one Blade Strike, and with another Blade Strike severed his Head. At the same Time, several Swords instantly materialized around him, piercing into the Death Knight's Body, pinning him firmly to the Floor.

"You... Doomsday will eventually come..." Lying on the Ground, he had already lost most of his Qi. The Flames on his Body were constantly leaking out through the Wounds, "Death is never the end..."

His Gaze was fixedly staring ahead, where a Phantom Image of a scythe seemed to appear, and yet also seemed to be nothing at all.

Fang Bie gently waved his Hand, summoning the ice-blue Crystal back into his palm in front of Ye Fan. The scythe also flew towards him, landing before him, but Ye Fan seemed completely oblivious, stepping past the scythe and looking down at the Corpse.

"This should be the most terrifying Thing in this World, right?"

Fang Bie nodded with some difficulty, gazing at the scythe that was now floating beside him, "It should be, right?"
