Chapter 25 - Fury

[ Wednesday morning ]

The sun rose as usual on that small, humble house in the Kingdom of Zenithra, which held within it the dreams of two people eager to see a better world. A world without nightmares. Rayan tries to write a new line in the story of this world to make himself a hero who steps to end the nightmares from the world. He wakes up in the morning full of energy and happiness. Rayan may not know who he is facing, nightmares, that dragon, the graveyard guard, or someone bigger that he does not know. Even if Rayan didn't know him, he was fully prepared to face the unknown.

.

Rayan went to the same place where he first met Martin, eagerly waiting to learn about his ability and learn more about his nucleus, but he had some concerns and fears about the danger of falling under the effects of the fracture. Rayan waited a little while longer but finally Martin came "Come on boy, let's go to Aetherwyn"

The journey began. The road was not very far, as the two kingdoms were next to each other. "Be careful, boy. We've left the borders of Zenithra's kingdom and are now in danger. If you notice anything strange, let me know"

Martin and Rayan tried to go out in daylight so as not to face the many dangers that appear at night. But that voice interrupted them. "Go away, boy!!"

Martin pushed Rayan away and the place quickly caught fire. "What do we have here"

Martin looked at Rayan and told him to keep himself safe. "This is not a normal thief he uses fire magic"

The thief was full of anger, his black hair was about to catch fire and his eyes started to burn with fire. "You won't get out of here alive"

Rayan started watching from a distance, amazed at what was happening.

Martin looked at the thief and then silence fell. There was nothing but the sound of burning.

From one side, fire magic blazed like a furious heart, its radiance slicing through the gloom like comets tearing the sky. Flames coiled around their wielder, writhing like a serpent starved for blood, seething with hunger and rage. The air around the fire bent and shimmered with unbearable heat, as if even time itself had caught flame. But this was no ordinary fire. it was living fury, forged from loss, and vengeance bursting forth in searing bolts that leapt like arrows from a wounded sun.

Opposing is stood Martin to the fire. not merely the absence of light, but a presence, thick and alive. Shadows oozed like smoke, devouring color and form, leaving behind a world in monochrome. The darkness didn't shout or scream. it breathed, pulsed, and crept, like a sentient void. It was silent, yet its silence suffocated. Its cold wasn't the chill of winter, but of deep regret, of dread, of nightmares unnamed. It slithered over the ground and sky like spilled ink, blotting out existence.

.

And in the eye of the storm, a deeper truth emerged: Light burns to live,

Shadow consumes to end.

One is fury incarnate.

The other, oblivion made flesh.

.

The thief fired a spear of fire, piercing Martin's darkness and almost piercing his heart, but Martin disappeared and began to sneak around "How long will you remain hidden, you coward"

That thief was making fun of Martin and provoking him.

Suddenly, the thief fell to his knees, bleeding, surrounded by fire, but darkness came to swallow his flames.

The thief is sitting on his knees and behind him is Martin with a shining eye as if Martin has absorbed the flame and life inside him. "Taste my darkness"

The thief fell dead to the ground, surrounded by flames and pierced by darkness.

Rayan came in shocked at what had happened. "That was great, Mr. Martin."

Martin : "That was a weak user who I think was no more than level 10."

Rayan was shocked. If this person was weak, how would the strong one be "But what does this level mean?"

Martin : "My friend will tell you this. Let's continue our journey."

Rayan and Martin continued on their way but were stopped by someone whose eyes spoke volumes. "You are the one who killed my son"...
