The tension was thick as everyone's gaze remained on Selena.
They held their breath as Selena opened her trembling lips to speak.
But before a sound could escape—
Her eyes burned purple.
Her hair shifted, strand by strand, from silver to a deep, shimmering violet.
Her head lowered as a hush fell over the clearing.
No one knew what happened, but their guards instantly went up, especially when they saw Nibbles, who was hiding in bushes, suddenly jump in alarm.
"CHIT! CHIT! CHIT-CHIT!" (DEMON! DEMON! KILL HER!)
It was trying to tell them something, but they couldn't understand.
Except one of them, at least.
Alex understood those words, his eyes widening, but before he could speak, Clara's lips moved.
"Selena…?" Clara whispered, her voice trembling.
She didn't need Nibbles to tell her that something was wrong with Selena, and although she was still not over Selena's betrayal, she was worried about the princess.
For her, Selena was still her one and only friend.
