Chapter 8: People
'Waking up i felt my entire body soaring in pain,
My limbs feel numb, my torso aches, and
my brain light headed.'
'It appears that the pain, that was numbed during my adrenaline rush has subsided and im now in a world of pain and ache.'
'My attention was cut short when my senses started stabilizing,
My senses picked up on the buring sounds of firewood and people chatting,
I opened my eyes and scanned the area.'
'They have yet to notice me waking up,
I was cautious of them for I dont know their true intentions,
I stood up quietly... well, atleast I tried too.
My body couldn't help but instinctual groan from the pain,'
'They stopped chatting and gazed at my direction, their faces with different expressions.
One of them a tall man with blonde hair and a face that look like he's in his 20s stood up and went to my direction,
I had my guard up ready to fight or flee at any moment,
As he walks he was speak a language I couldn't comprehend but I could feel emotions of worry from his tone.'
"Hello Sir, are you ok?
You have just regained consciousness but your body hasn't recovered well so please, rest more"
"Who are you? I asked."
"Cecilia what is he saying?"
"Alex, I dont think he can understand what you're staying."
"Alex it appears he's not native here."
Zachary added,
Alex pondered for a moment thinking of a solution,
In a few seconds of silence he came up with an idea.
'Alex's face brightened up, like a child when discovering something,
He then proceeded to get a stick from the ground and started drawing a house or a village,
He then proceeded to make a character that pointed to me and a question mark,
Indicating that he's asking me where I was from.'
'I look at this blonde man for a moment before getting another stick from the ground, and I started to draw just like him.
I drew a character with a confused face and questions marks around it indicating that I've lost my memories.'
'The blonde man then looked at me and with a light smile and nodded,
He then draw a picture of a bread and a character that expresses hunger pointing the character to me,
I interpreted that he's asking if im hungry.'
'I looked at his eyes searching for some form of deception,
Seeing no malicious intent in his bright smile,
Trusting my instincts,
I nodded..."
'The blonde man stood up and seemingly told the guy with dark long hair next to him to get me some food, he nooded,
The blonde man and the girl with dark hair stayed near me communicating with me through drawings.'
Cecilia drew an imagne of humanoid character with a sword and a giant bird.
'I interpreted her message as her asking on how did I beat the Behemoth Falcon.
I drew back to her by making an image of a character setting up traps, using bow and arrows, and a dagger.'
'Cecilia made shocked and clapping gestures to show how impress she was.'
'I then smell a hot stew drawing nearer at me,
The man with dark hair came with a bowl filled with stew and a wooden spoon.
He handed it too me and I bowed my head as a gesture of thanks.'
Nix took a sip of the soup
'Hmm, this taste great...,
I gave them a smile showing my gratitude'
Cecilia got flustered and turned around blushing at Nix's smile,
Zachary and Alex just looked at her with a straight face...
