Chapter 219 - Time Accelerates Again

Amid the blizzard, the three figures were startled. Their perception was even worse than Su Min's, so they only noticed her when she was practically in their faces.

A deafening crack split the air as one of them was sent hurtling through the snow like a meteor, vanishing into the distant white. The remaining two barely registered what had happened.

"So fast!"

The other two were inwardly alarmed. Su Min's speed was simply too quick—so much so that they couldn't react at all. It was as if a flash of light had passed, and one of them had already vanished.

The reason for Su Min's incredible speed was simple: the Law of Time.

Her mastery of it was still limited, with only two effects available to her: acceleration and deceleration. In the game, this law was considered the strongest—one that was nearly impossible to obtain without cheats. Of course, there was a chance through DLC content.

In the game, it was even more overpowering, featuring acceleration, deceleration, and even time stop. It directly affected the player's perception. No matter how fast something moved, the player's perception remained constant. Activating deceleration or time stop would thrust the player into bullet time.

But even now, this ability was terrifying for Su Min. It was akin to gaining an additional multiplier in the game, effectively doubling her speed relative to her original state. At its peak, the Law of Time could even peer into the river of history and reverse causality—though such an act was so heaven-defying that it came with a terrible price.

Regardless, Su Min's sudden attack had caught the three off guard. In an instant, one of them had been swatted away like a fly.

"Who are you? How is this possible at the Divine Transformation stage? This speed rivals even those who have comprehended the Law of Speed. You—?!"

Seeing their companion sent flying, the other two were stunned. The speed Su Min displayed was beyond what should be possible at the Divine Transformation stage. Even speed-focused cultivators couldn't achieve this—it was comparable to those who had truly grasped the Law of Speed.

The reason for her speed was simple: she had accelerated herself.

"Guess who's inside," she said coolly. "And guess who I am." Almost immediately, she formed hand seals. A shrill cry echoed through the blizzard as a massive firebird, wreathed in radiant vermilion flame, tore through the snowstorm like a falling star. Heat surged in its wake, melting frost into steam.

Without sparing the stunned ambushers another glance, Su Min plunged downward—straight toward the tomb buried beneath the ice.

"No!!"

"You're courting death!!"

BOOM!

An explosion erupted before their horrified eyes—the formation they hadn't even activated yet had been obliterated by Su Min. This meant that if the Lunar Sovereign Physique holder emerged now, they would truly be in danger.

This seclusion had lasted too long, and the Lunar Sovereign Physique came with its own Great Dao. While the breakthrough conditions for the middle three stages—Golden Core, Nascent Soul, and Divine Transformation—were the same as for everyone else, once one surpassed these stages and entered the upper three stages, the gap between ordinary cultivators and special physiques would become apparent. Without the formation's assistance, the three of them would be at great risk even when facing a late stage Divine Transformation Lunar Sovereign Physique holder. Moreover, the formation could have also trapped Su Min, but she had reacted too quickly and destroyed it completely.

"Fine, very well. The Five Elements Holy Physique, huh? Though not yet fully matured and inferior to the Lunar Sovereign girl, since you're seeking death, we'll oblige you!!"

The one Su Min had initially sent flying returned, his face covered in blood and twisted with rage. Their preparations had been ruined, but since Su Min had come, she would stay forever.

They weren't like those large, established sects—their own sects had long since perished in the river of time.

Given their cultivation levels, the amount of sealing crystals they required was several times that of ordinary late stage Divine Transformation cultivators. Thus, they had hoarded all the sealing crystals for themselves, completely disregarding their sects' survival.

The quantity needed was so vast that even the two super sects couldn't easily produce it. These fallen ones might have once been ancestral founders of sects, but now, they had no ties to this world. They were enemies of all living beings.

Facing Su Min, they hesitated not at all. In the next moment, radiance swirled around one of the elders as a massive, ox-like monster materialized in the sky. Its enormous body charged toward Su Min with overwhelming force.

"Thunder, manifest upon me."

Seeing the giant beast, Su Min swiftly formed hand seals. A colossal Thunder God emerged in the void, gripping the monster's horns with both hands.

[Mastery of the Five Thunders—Prison of Lightning.]

With a single palm strike from Su Min, the Thunder God vanished, transforming into countless bolts of lightning that tightly bound the hundreds-of-meters-long beast. The creature was thick-skinned and tough, so Su Min had no intention of engaging it directly just yet. At the same time, three figures flickered past, and Su Min reappeared some distance away.

"What just happened?"

"Did you sense something off?"

In that instant, the two fallen ones' expressions turned grim. They had simultaneously attempted to ambush Su Min, only for her to evade effortlessly.

That alone was bad enough, but in that split second, they had also sensed a strange sluggishness—lasting only a fraction of a second, but at their level, even that was fatal. It was like in competitive gaming, where the slightest delay could be decisive. Here, it was no different.

What was even more unsettling was that, in their perception, Su Min seemed to move as if in fast-forward.

"Her law is unusual. At the Divine Transformation middle stage, she's already touching upon laws. Though her Five Elements Holy Physique isn't fully matured, reaching the Dao Comprehension stage is only a matter of time for her."

Soon, the two realized the truth: Su Min had comprehended a law. Even if only barely, this was something most Divine Transformation-stage cultivators could only dream of.

Only this could explain why a Divine Transformation-stage cultivator could make former Dao Comprehension-stage experts feel such a qualitative difference. After glimpsing the door to laws, Su Min also understood just how formidable Yao Xian'er had been back then.

The Spirit Attuned Physique was the most law-compatible constitution. The myriad laws fused within her likely weren't limited to just one. Though those laws might have been fragments, they were still terrifyingly powerful.

Had it not been for the even greater terror of Yin-Yang fusion, Su Min would never have been able to defeat her.

"Can only trap it for about a minute. In that case, for safety's sake, I'll have to use it."

Ignoring the shocked duo, Su Min glanced at the temporarily restrained beast. She knew time was short—it would soon break free from the lightning prison, forcing her to fight one against three. That wasn't a situation she relished.

These three old monsters were all former Dao Comprehension-stage experts. Who knew what hidden abilities they possessed? That Tianxiu Emperor had simply been unlucky, exposing his strongest trump card early and giving Su Min the chance to finish him off in one strike.

But these two old men wouldn't make the same mistake. She had to end this quickly. Battles at this level could be either extremely fast or painfully slow. If one side went all out, it could end in the blink of an eye. If both sides played it safe, it could drag on indefinitely.

So then—

"Yin-Yang Fusion."

In the next moment, Su Min absorbed the last drop of Lunar Sovereign essence blood. At this point, she hardly needed it anymore. Besides, as long as she rescued Xie Yingying, she could obtain another drop or two.

The instant she did so, the entire space transformed. Originally, the area had been engulfed in a terrifying blizzard. This was the very heart of the snow plains, where even Golden Core cultivators would be instantly obliterated.

But now, the blizzard vanished. The space was now overlaid with two peculiar colors—a profound black and white. It was as if even the Heavenly Dao had disappeared.

"What is this?!"

The two remaining foes exchanged glances, then turned to flee without hesitation. These people had no sense of honor, and their deeply ingrained instinct was to retreat at the first sign of uncertainty—the farther, the better.

So when faced with this incomprehensible phenomenon, there was no way they'd stay and fight.

"Trying to run? Too late!!"

Su Min had anticipated this. These fallen ones were all the same. In the game, hunting them down was a nightmare unless you were fully prepared, even setting up trapping formations in advance. Otherwise, they'd always escape.

Imagine a boss that could flee—in any game, that would be infuriating. But since Su Min had made her move, she wouldn't let them get away. Moreover, to obtain the White Tiger's power, she had to embrace slaughter.

In other words, she needed their heads.

Thus, in that moment, Su Min raised one hand for Taiyin and the other for Taiyang. The next instant, the space was engulfed in an inky glow, and then—

"Ahhh!!!"

A scream erupted as one of the fleeing men suddenly had a Yin-Yang mark appear on his forehead. He plummeted from the sky, instantly swallowed by the blizzard below.

The difference in their cultivation wasn't vast enough to negate the effects of her Yin-Yang Seal. His cultivation crumbled from half-step Dao Comprehension all the way down to Foundation Establishment.

The blizzard might have seemed suppressed by Su Min, but it was still active. A storm capable of tearing apart Golden Core cultivators instantly consumed him as his power collapsed, bringing swift death.

"!!!"

Seeing this, the last fleeing man had no choice but to halt. To his relief, Su Min had already exited her enhanced state. He stopped running because he knew it was futile—he'd seen her speed. There was no outrunning her. If he fled, she'd catch him instantly, leaving him vulnerable to a sneak attack.

Originally, the two had fled in opposite directions to split their chances of survival, gambling on whether Su Min would prioritize dealing with the beast. But now, with only him left, running would just expose his back to her.

For Su Min, one drop of essence blood could only accomplish so much. Still, instantly annihilating a half-step Dao Comprehension-stage old monster was impressive.

"You're at least somewhat intelligent. Now, the real battle begins. Show me everything you've got."

Su Min smiled coldly at the remaining foe. Now that she had comprehended the Law of Time—

Though her understanding was incomplete, only allowing her to affect a small area around herself, it was more than enough. She had always lacked pursuit techniques, forcing her to be cautious in battles to prevent enemies from escaping. Now, that was no longer an issue.

The only regret was that she was too far from Eastern Mulberry Province, and the blizzard's interference prevented her from summoning the Golden Crow Ancient Bell. Otherwise, she wouldn't have needed to use this trump card.

But the results spoke for themselves. A true trump card should instantly turn the tide when revealed—otherwise, opponents would find ways to counter it.

Now that the trump card had been played, she could only rely on her own strength. More importantly, her Vermilion Bird Possession had been fully expended, but there was no helping it. After all, that was a true killing formation—extremely dangerous.

"In that case—"

The remaining enemy's body rapidly expanded, transforming into a giant in moments. He charged at Su Min, fist raised for a devastating strike.

"A power-type? Let's test it out."

Su Min was inwardly surprised. Power-types were all about raw stats—closing the distance and relying entirely on physical combat to suppress opponents, preventing them from using skills. It was troublesome.

But for Su Min, it wasn't an issue. In the next instant, two vastly disproportionate fists collided.

THUD!

A dull impact echoed as a shockwave rippled through the blizzard. It was like the climactic battle in The Matrix Revolutions—a single moment of terrifying intensity.

Even more shocking was that the dozens-of-meters-tall giant was sent flying.

"You—?!"

The man's face darkened like a burnt pot. He realized Su Min was completely unharmed, while he had been injured by the recoil.
