It's been a week since they started the real training that they are anticipating for the past two years. For those one week all they've done is swing their swords a hundred times every day. Today they are at the training grounds again but this time there's a wooden dummy displayed in the training grounds.
"Today we will move on to the next step of your training." Asher said as he stood in front of Lucas and Sai. "As you both can see there's a training dummy here. From now on I need both of you to hit them fifty times every day." Asher explained to them.
Asher grabs a wooden sword and forms a stance pointing to the dummy. "Let me give an example." Asher starts hitting the dummy with the wooden sword. His movements are smooth and fast. In just a blink of an eye Asher landed a lot of hits to the dummy. "As both of you can see I do not hit in just one place. Head, neck, arms, stomach, waist, and feet. Those parts must be hit so it can be counted as one. If failed to do so. That means it doesn't count to the fifty slices."
"Seriously?!" Both Sai and Lucas said.
Of course, the training won't be just a simple fifty hit on the dummy. There's always a catch to it.
Asher laughs at them. "What? Complaining again? Start training now or else I will add more!" Asher commanded them.
Sai and Lucas didn't dare to complain anymore but instead mumbling on their own. Asher was amused by their irritated faces. "Want some tips?" Sai and Lucas stop as they hear Asher.
Sai lowered his sword. "What is it?"
Asher pointed at the dummies. "Imagine that the thing you're hitting right now is me so you will be motivated."
Lucas and Sai looked stunned, but it was actually a good idea. Both of them smiled and started hitting the dummy again. It seems like they really took what Asher said to them. As Asher watched them, he could feel their range to him.
"I will leave you both for now… You both might hit the real thing…" Asher then left them as they still continued their training.
Time passed and both Sai and Lucas had finished their training. They dropped their sword and lay down on the ground breathing heavily. They both looked at the sky, the sun was setting, and it was beautiful scenery.
"Sensei is cruel… He's making us kids do things that a 12-year-old should be doing." Sai complained to Lucas.
Lucas wipes his sweat on his face. "Yeah… He is… I can't believe he's my uncle…"
"I guess you two are done now that you two are now talking shit about your master huh??" Lucas and Sai jolted as they heard Asher's voice.
They immediately sit up and look at Asher with a tired face. "You can't blame us. Your training is hard for a kid." Sai said with a frown.
Asher just laughed at his complaint. "You two are not like normal kids. So, suck it up and bear with it. Now both of you should rest. We will continue tomorrow."
"Yes~" Both of them responded and they both went back to their own rooms.
Sai was now alone in his room. He lay down on his bed; he was so exhausted that he could already feel his sleepiness. He was about to fall asleep, but the system suddenly popped up.
"System: Sai Ashenford, you have a special mission!"
Sai opens his eyes to look at the screen. "Special mission?" Sai opens the mail to check the special mission that the system is talking about.
"System: Special Mission; Defeat Asher Timberlake in a Duel!"
As Sai saw the mission he jolted and sat up. "WHAT?!"
