Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: Cooper Vs Dark Guild!

Staring at the large mansion in the distance, I faintly smirked and once again hid in the forest as I dashed toward the mansion; arriving a minute later, I circled the perimeter, checking for any magic traps as I wasn't new to them, though I was slightly surprised when I didn't find any. 'Either I missed them, or they just don't have any.' Although I found it a bit suspicious that there were no traps, considering it was a Dark Guild, it started to make sense after a bit of thinking. 'Well, they've got an illusion surrounding this whole valley, so they must be confident no one will find them.' Doing another perimeter search, I leaped onto the second floor of the mansion and gazed into one of the windows, where I spotted a few mages within one room, causing me to click my tongue as I moved onto the next window, though that room also had a few mages within it.

I continued through the second floor, searching window after window until I finally found an empty room, prompting me to quietly pry open the window before entering. "Alright, now, should I just cause a rampage?" Just as I closed the window, I heard the door behind me open, prompting me to instantly turn around, only for my eyes to meet one of the mages I had trailed from Borwatt Town; shifting my gaze to his left, I spotted a chained woman with cloth covering her intimate parts, causing me to raise an eyebrow. "I see you got enough jewels to buy that slave." The man's eyes widened, and quickly, he turned around, attempting to flee the room, though he wasn't able to take a single step before I grabbed his waist and yanked him into the wall behind me while I closed the door.

"Until I decide how to do things, I'd prefer not to have my cover blown… On the bright side, you get a swift death." Locking the door, I approached the man, who crawled to his feet and tried to use his magic, though before he could even attack, I stabbed my hand into his chest. Removing my hand, I pushed the man onto the ground, causing him to bleed out while he used the last of his life to crawl away, though he barely made it to the window before finally dying. Wiping my hand clean using the curtain, I was about to exit the room, though just as I passed the silent slave, she suddenly grabbed my arm, causing me to growl. "F-Fairy Tail… Y-You're a Fairy Tail mage?" Asked the woman weakly while holding my arm, causing me to snatch it out of her grasp.

"Yeah. I'm a Fairy Tail Mage… I'm here to destroy this guild, so I'd get out of here quickly if I were you." Glancing at the woman, I opened the door, only for her to slam it closed, causing me to growl again. "W-Wait! T-There are others like me in the Guild's basement. P-Please help them!" Said the woman pleadingly as she stared at me with a teary-eyed expression, causing me to frown as I wasn't keen on wasting my time helping them as it wasn't part of the job, though, in the end, I couldn't help but grunt before nodding. "Tsk, fine, I'll help free them, but after that, you guys are on your own." Rubbing my head in annoyance, I grabbed the woman's chains and ripped them off her limbs before picking her up and leaping through the window, only to land on the ground just outside the mansion.

"That way is the path to Borwatt Town. Wait in the forest for the others and then lead them to it; just watch out for beasts." Pointing at the forest, the woman nodded before hiding at the edge while I stabbed my finger into the ground. Using my nail, I ran around the mansion, creating a deep line around the perimeter before forcefully sticking my hands underneath the ground while I used my magic, filling the ground with my magic power and causing it to shimmer gold. With swift movements, I pried the mansion and the ground it was connected to out of the earth before tossing it into the distance, revealing a large basement underneath.

"Welp, let's make this quick; it won't take long for them to react." Dusting my hands off, I leaped into the hole and opened the many cells, which contained at least ten slaves of varying ages, freeing them. "W-Were free?" "W-We've been saved!" "T-Thank you, savior!" "We owe you our lives!" Standing atop one of the cells, I eyed the nearly two hundred slaves who spared no expense in expressing their gratitude to me, though I merely waved my hand. "Oi, listen. Go that way; that's where Borwatt Town is located. If you don't hurry, the Dark Mages will capture you again." My words filled them with terror as their faces contorted into anger and fear while they quickly made their way out of the basement and to where I had pointed.

However, when not even half of them managed to escape, I sensed several different magical signatures from behind, causing me to turn around as I looked at the damaged mansion, where I spotted numerous mages blasting their way out of the guild, and each one was furious. "Tsk, he's freeing the slaves!" "Kill that brat and then capture them! Kill a few if you have to!" "Our money!" The arrival of the dark mages frightened the survivors, especially when they started to attack, using various forms of magic to seriously harm, if not outright kill them. Clicking my tongue, I stabbed my hand into the ground and ripped a large chunk of it out while it shimmered gold before I tossed it into the air, intercepting the numerous attacks of the Mages and protecting the freed slaves.

"Just run… I'll deal with these mages." Cracking my knuckles, I flashed a faint grin as I partially enhanced my body before dashing to the dark mages, who quickly redirected their attacks to me, though it mattered not. I didn't even bother deflecting the tens of attacks headed my way since, when they collided with my body, not even a bruise remained; as a matter of fact, they couldn't even slow my momentum down. Lunging at the nearest mage, I slashed my hand upwards, tearing through his flesh and splattering blood everywhere; stepping to the side, I grabbed the falling mage by his neck and flooded his body with my magic power, causing him to brightly shimmer gold before I tossed him into a group of four.

"That's a terrible way to die." Watching the dark mages explode into a bloody mess, I faintly chuckled before lunging towards the remaining mages, who quickly descended into fear; some of the mages even tried to plead for their lives, which I was thankful for since it made it easier to kill. I enjoyed fighting, but I felt nothing when faced with so many weak enemies, as there was nothing fun about this; currently, all I was doing was a job. "I-I surrender! P-Please! I–" Said one of the dark mages as he dropped to his knees in terror, only for me to slash his throat, causing him to bleed to his death.

'Man, they just keep coming; how many mages are in this Dark Guild!?' Killing another dozen mages, I glanced at the mansion, where another twenty or so emerged from, causing me to groan in annoyance as dealing with these weaklings was tedious. However, just as my annoyance started to build up, I sensed multiple magical powers far stronger than these weaklings I'd been dealing with. Raising my eyebrow, I shifted my gaze to the guild's top, which suddenly exploded, revealing four people; the person in the middle was a middle-aged woman with the strongest magic power, not much weaker than my own. As for the three people surrounding her, they also weren't too weak either, though they still weren't much of a concern for me; they would've just taken longer to kill compared to these weaklings.

"Oi, are you the Guild Master? It's about fucking time; I got bored slaughtering your members." Approaching the mansion, I killed whatever remaining mages were in my path before stopping in front of the mansion. "Tch, stupid child, do you know what you've done!? I'll have you suffer!" Yelled the middle-aged woman furiously as she removed her large, fluffy scarf while glaring at me, causing me to faintly smirk as I egged her on. "Oh, please discipline me; I'm eager for it!" Licking my lips, I eyed the woman, who suddenly snapped her fingers, prompting the skinny man with a big nose to snap a photo of me with a camera. "Hmm… Weird." The big-nosed man took another picture of me, but given his frown, whatever he was attempting to do wasn't working.

"I apologize, Master, but my magic seems not to affect him; I can't discern what magic he uses." Said the big-nosed man while glancing at the woman, whose expression worsened, though I merely grinned. "Hehe, here, let me help you out… I use Indestructible Magic."

"Now things are a little more even; let's fight! It's been a long time since I had an excellent battle." Although information about Indestructible Magic was revealed, it made no difference; I had no apparent weakness, and the only way to defeat me would be simply overpowering me. "Alright, let's get fighting." Flooding myself with magic power, I lunged toward the four, prompting the guild Master to thrust her palm forward, launching numerous black feathers at me while the three others followed suit.
