When they arrive and Tanner stops the car, Kyle is the first to get out. He steps onto the gravel, his shoes crunching softly beneath him.
Even though his mind isn't focused on the surroundings, he can't help but look around in awe. The estate is quiet and beautiful in an intimidating way ,expansive, private.
Inside the car, Tanner remains seated for a second longer, his eyes catching on something. There, resting on the seat where Kyle was moments ago, lies a card, an ID.
He picks it up absentmindedly, flipping it between his fingers. Then he sees the name printed across the front. Kyle Lockwood. His eyes widen slightly.
"Lockwood?" he whispers to himself, stunned. That's not the surname Kyle has been using.
And this name... It's familiar. Familiar in a way that make him freeze for a second.
He then steps out of the car, slowly, his expression unreadable as he walks around to where Kyle stands, looking off into the distance.
